We have coffee filters in our home to cover plates or containers of food for heating up in the microwave to protect from splatter. When I go to grab one its always a struggle and lick my finger to be able to separate them. Not any more. One pair of tongs will now just live on top of the stack of filters in the pantry to be ready to do its most important task. Grab and take hold of a single filter next to its brethren and place it on the counter and repeat if desired. Highly recommend for having a simple pleasure in one’s life. Bonus tip – I actually found the tongs work better if the stack of filters is upside down. Check the video.

These are well made, look pretty cool and best of all they work most of the time. In the morning, fumbling with coffee filters when half awake is a mess for me. These help take some of that irritation away making brewing coffee easier and faster which, for me, is a good thing. They fit easily in my hand and help to separate my coffee filters effortlessly. 4 out of 5 stars. I can recommend and suggest buying an extra set for someone else you know that could use them!

This is probably an example of a kitchen gadget that no one absolutely NEEDS, but if you hate struggling to separate coffee filters then yeah this thing works almost all the time.
Video shows me grabbing a filter from a brand-new box (the filters are super-tight). I also tried using it on filters that were kind of loose and crumpled; it sometimes picked up 2 instead of a single filter.

The first time I tried to use them the filters were at an angle in the basket and it took a few tries to pick one up alone. The next time as shown in the video I laid them flat in the basket and could get it right away! The prongs are slightly askew, don’t line up directly opposite one another- maybe that’s intentional though. Either way I’d say if you do get annoyed trying to take apart the coffee filters then this product is worth a try!

When something so annoying can be turned into something straightforward, it becomes a treat every time!
But it wasn’t always this way. I remember the dark times. I created any number of TRICKS I came up with to separate the coffee filters. I suspected the filter makers were doing it on PURPOSE!
But now, when I go to make a pot of coffee, I can just… DO IT! I’m brewing with a smile on my face!
Currently, you get TWO for 9.99 – a little high, IMO. So 1 star off for not being a bargain and another star for being higher as I believe these should be selling for no more than $8.00
BUT NOT A BAD review! They are well made and should last a long time.
And to stretch out your dollar, any coffee filter user friend will be happy to receive one of these a present! *get one star back*
TIPS: 1) keep the stack of filters on a FLAT surface while using! 2) Pressing down, use a slow, gentle but firm, downward-while-squeezing pressure and your filter will separate from the others.
It really is easier to do than said. You’ll enjoy using it every time!
