 It took only 2 min, 12 sec to replace this battery and, it has extended the cleaning time from 33 minutes to do 307sf before recharging, to doing 412sf in 54 minutes and only using a little over 1/2 of the battery charge.

Only time will tell but, if this battery lasts, it is a definite 5-star rating: the price is a fraction of the OEM and it definitely gives new life to an aging battery pack. At this point I would definitely recommend this product to replace your Roomba battery pack.

This “upgrade” claims to be *double* the capacity of the OEM battery (50Whr vs 25Whr). However, it feels significantly lighter than the OEM one. I suspect people seeing increased runtime are just seeing the benefit of a newer battery compared to their tired one, but I seriously doubt this has more capacity than the factory battery. Actual runtime and long-term longevity remains to be seen. However, due to the tendency of aftermarket no-name brands greatly inflating their specs on amazon products, I suspect this is the same sort of “definitely not an upgrade, probably a slight downgrade from a new factory product.” Time will tell.

Perfect fit and the provided instructions were clear and accurate. My Roomba J7 did not yet need a battery, but I could not pass up the opportunity to test this! I got better run time performance from this battery than I did with the 7 month old original battery. Could I say it was 3 times? Sadly not, but only because I have multiple schedules and divided the cleaning to not have Roomba doing a marathon clean in one go. I’d guess around double the run time would be a reasonable expectation.

Given the price compared to the OEM version I’d be happy if it only ran for half the time of the OEM part between charges! Suspect battery on your Roomba? Buy this! 4* because I have not been able to do a ‘proper’ side by side comparison with the OEM part and the 3X claim despite the rated capacity only being twice that of the original.

The TenHutt replacement battery was ordered for our J7 series Roomba.

The battery fits our J7 series battery, and works as it should. Since it is a new battery, it allowed the Roomba to complete its assigned job in our home. In honesty, the 1900 square feet of the main floor of our home does not require 2 hours to complete its task, so I cannot comment on whether or not the battery will last “at least 2 hours on a single charge” as stated in the product description. Also, there is no way to comment on how long the battery will last unit a new battery needs to be ordered. But, the unit did complete the task in about 1.5 hours, and then went back to its home base.

BOTTOM LINE: The battery allows our Roomba to complete the task on the main floor of our home. The price is more than competitive with other similar batteries and is reasonable. I would order this battery again based upon our experience so far.
