The product is compatible with iRobot – Roomba® e5 (5150)
Be prepared with Phillips screwdriver as product came with no screwdriver. There are 5 screws to open (see product page at Amazon for pictures and instructions). Detach the old battery and replace it with this product. Overall installation is very easy. I charged it for 1 hour and tried out to vacuum the hallway. I notice the battery last longer than the original battery. It’s too early to say how long the battery will last. I hope at least 3 years!

This is a great replacement battery for the Roomba i3 and others. It has a larger capacity for charging and it will make the Roomba go for a longer time before it recharges. It is not difficult to replace, it looks like the original.

Since this is a 4500 mah battery, i was expecting double the battery life compared to the factory one. I let it charge overnight, and in the morning it ran for only 1 hour before needing to recharge. Very disappointed.

Slapped this 4.5Ah 14.4V battery into my i7 Roomba, lovingly named “Roscoe,” and let me tell you, it’s like giving an old dog new tricks. Roscoe had been limping along with a less-than-stellar replacement battery recently. We’re talking about barely making it through a single room before tapping out.
Upgrading to this battery was like putting Roscoe on a regimen of robot steroids. I kid you not, Roscoe’s been cleaning non-stop for over an hour now, making him the MVP of our home-cleaning lineup. The difference is night and day compared to the old battery. If your Roomba is showing signs of age, don’t hesitate. This battery gives your robot vacuum the second wind it needs. A worthwhile upgrade, indeed!

Our new i5+ Combo can’t do the whole house without having to go back and recharge for an hour and a half. I believe the OEM battery it came installed with is about a 1.6 Ah one. With this replacement, it can do the whole house on one charge, cutting the completion time almost in half. 5 screws have to be removed along with the spinning brush, and then the whole bottom plate comes right off revealing the battery compartment. The battery easily unclips and the new one just slides back in. Replacing the screws and brush and a little time charging and you’re good to go. I will keep the OEM one as a back-up. Very reasonable cost for what it does!

My batteries had gotten so weak that it was time to change them. The Roomba was shipped with a 2800mAh battery and it worked well for years so I decided that “If a little is good, then a lot is better” and I ordered this 4800mAh battery. Oh my!! They should have built the original Roomba with one of these! This battery is a perfect fit with mo modifications necessary and has now run the Roomba for the last 2 months with no issues. Buy this!!

I knew I was fixing up my e5 roomba and decided to replace the battery as well. Looking around it seemed like a simple upgrade but I was still a bit skeptical because nobody makes maintenance easy any more. There were a couple screws I had to remove to pull the bottom piece off, all very accessible and I didn’t even need a spudger or anything but a simple screwdriver. I easily pulled the old battery out and this slotted in without any issue. I put the bottom back on and charged it overnight. The only issue I had with this upgrade was that I had no idea I needed to clean out under the bottom plate as well.
The original battery was 1.8Ah and this is 4.5Ah. Now the machine gets full before going to recharge and runs on carpet much better. The replacement itself was so easy I would recommend to someone that doesn’t own a screwdriver, they’d just need to purchase a screwdriver along with this.
