I picked this one up as I wanted an NOAA radio to have while dispersed camping incase of emergencies. This little guy just had too many bonus features to not consider it.
Seems like a great little ‘all in one’ emergency device. Hand crank has a little LED that lights up to show you it’s charging. Not sure how much power this tiny solar panel could possibly put out but it’s a nice feature to have.
Really appreciate USB C input vs some proprietary barrel plug or something. Used a watt meter inline on the outbound charging port with my phone and never saw over 9w draw so it must be limited to <2a.
All in all a nice little package. For only a few bucks more over a decent dedicated NOAA radio you seem to get a lot of bang for your buck.

Works good. It’s a tiny little thing.

I am a medical technician with over 25 years of experience. Much of it in urgent care, emergency and rescue but certainly not limited to these. All of my current skills and talents based upon my 5 years with the U.S. Army Medical Corps Academy of Health Sciences at Fort Sam Houston. I was responsible for carrying a 50 – 60 pound emergency backpack in addition to all of my military gear once settled into my primary assignment. I know a little something about organization and stocking of medical and emergency kits. An emergency weather radio with alternate power sources is a must have. And this one would certainly not be the first for me. Especially here in Fort Lauderdale where the weather changes by the minute, not to mention the hurricane season. These previous units were quite stout and quite bulky as well. Over time things get more advanced and more streamlined. But still we are dealing with the same thing-a broadcast terrestrial radio receiver. I am showing my age here but does anyone remember those old transistor radios we used to carry around? Remember how small they were? This is where my initial issue comes from. I have to admit that I do not pay enough attention to the details and measurements shown on the adverts. More attention is paid to illustrations and photos. Not the best way to make choices but ok. This little dynamo is just that-LITTLE. I was surprised by the diminutive size. But then we get past that and we are then very impressed. Fully charged right out of the box. Turn it on and you’ll hear music or talk right away. Was liking the similarities to the old radios-the sound is as expected, a bit tinny but certainly acceptable. The stations tune in well. The indicator lights on the face are easily read. The crank arm turns with little effort and little noise. There is a solar charging panel with a reading light on the flip side. You have a substantial flashlight built in with different modes. Functions are also easily controlled by well placed buttons on the end of the unit. Lift that control button cover and you have hidden charging ports. So besides the size, which we eventually get past, we are quite impressed with all of the things this radio does. Loving this tiny body with a big spirit of radio. This will most definitely be going into the Jeep Renegade rear cargo area filled with survival gear.

I purchased this item and it did not work properly. I was upset and contacted the company. They promptly apologized and corrected the situation. It shows a company that has great intergity, admitting a wrong and correcting it quickly. We need more honesty like this. Bravo, and thank you very much. Listening DC?

This isn’t the first emergency radio/flashlight I have owned but it is definitely the best by far. The previous units i have owned were all crank charged and had small cranks which would only provide a scant few minutes of use of either the radio or flashlight and then it was time to start cranking again and the reception was very poor.
Not so with this little beauty though! I am extremely impressed with the radio reception and most portable radios can barely pick up anything here but I picked up AM, FM and Weather channels before I even charged the battery and was able to pick up even more after a full charge was applied tot he battery.
Both the flashlight and reading light are bright and provide plenty of light for most any need. I did find it easy to mistakenly leave the reading light on after closing which could cause the battery to run down if not detected. Fortunately enough light peeks out along the edges of the light to detect that it was still on.
The radio comes with a charging cable which can be used to charge the radio from a USB-A charging port and also can be used in a pinch to charge a phone from the internal battery using the USB-A port on the radio.
The charging ports and light buttons are all covered with a water resistant cover when not in use and the lights can be operated with the cover in place also. There is a telescoping antenna for even better radio reception and it can be rotated to improve directional reception.
I did not test the solar charger but it is small and does not supply much power even in direct sunlight but could at least be helpful in an emergency situation. Even the directions indicate that the solar charger is not the best charging option so the crank would supply better charging capability than the small solar panel.
The only feature I have not mentioned is the compass which I found to be totally unreliable and gave me three different North readings depending upon the orientation of the radio so I’m thinking the speaker battery is influencing the compass.
I’m giving this radio/flashlight 4 stars because of the unreliable compass and the issue with the reading light not automatically shutting off when it is closed. Other than that it is a solid and reliable emergency radio with excellent reception and excellent lights!

The radio works as promised but is not as substantial as I expected. Also not sure that this is not a return that was resent to me. But the charging features are there and important, I give 4 Stars.
