This wireless charging station does a decent job of charging AirPods and an iPhone in a pretty compact space. I especially like how the MagSafe charger displays the charging ring when connecting the phone to the magnetic mount part of the unit. (The better quality chargers all seem to have this feature.)

I have a case with a pretty strong magnetic ring. The magnet on this charger isn’t super strong, but is strong enough to orient the case of the phone in any direction you desire. (It’s almost nicer not to have a super strong magnet on the charging dock as it can be difficult to pull the phone off the charging dock without hitting buttons on the phone.)

The LED ring around the AirPods “breathes” when they are set securely on the charging pad. (If some foreign object is detected, the blue light will flash.) I think the light goes off when the AirPods have finished charging.

The dock comes with an 18W USB power supply and a USB-A to USB-C charging cord to plug the station in.

All in all, I give this dock 4 stars as there’s no way to turn the lights off of the dock (or dim the lights.) This can be a bit distracting sitting on my night stand.

This is actually the first mag charger I’ve used on my 14 Plus phone. Prior to this, I’ve always used non-mag wireless charging, or just plain plugged the phone in (which seems to charge it up the fastest). I have a rather thin soft plastic case on my phone which is well under the recommended case thickness for using a mag safe charger. Consequently, my phone adhered securely to the charger with no issues. I set the phone on the charger once my battery was at about 6%. It took less than 2 hours to bring it up to full charge. I rather expected this since the included charging adapter has a max of 18 watt. I did not test the AirPod charging deck since I don’t use AirPods. I wish instead that the deck would instead accommodate charging my watch, but that wasn’t a deal-breaker here. I found the unit sturdy enough to hold my phone without fear of it falling over. I probably wouldn’t travel with this since it doesn’t fold down. I also really like that when the phone gets warm during charging, there is a cool-down feature that works very well.

The one thing that I didn’t care for was the blue light ring around the charging deck. It is fine during the day, but way too bright at night. I’d considered using this as a secondary nightstand clock using “Nightstand Mode,” which would be especially great for travel, but the blue light ring is just too bright for a dark room. Since the light ring is functional, I can understand why there isn’t an Off switch.

I bought this not expecting much, but was I blown away! The build quality, the charging capability, and its ease of use made it so much more fun to use. I don’t know how I would live without the mag-safe charger. I set it up in less than 5 minutes, and I saw amazing results. Fast charging, multi-functional use, and many more uses!

This stand has a glowing blue LED ring around the base where the airpods would charge. It pulsates or “breathes” as the instructions say until it’s fully charged and then turns off. However, if you’re using this beside a bed, that means it’s going to be pulsing away for hours until it’s fully charged. Unfortunately, there’s no option to turn this feature off. I’d look for a version that does not have the LEDs if you’re using this in a bedside application.

If it’s just going on a desk, either would work well. This one also has the ability to use the padded adhesive on the bottom to adhere it to a surface and keep it a bit sturdier for taking a phone on and off. Perfect for a desk. Also, it holds a heavy iPhone 13 pro max with case without an issue in both landscape and portrait orientation so the magnet seems solid.

All in all a good device that charges quickly and holds devices well. It’s only hang up for me at least was the bright LED ring. If that doesn’t bother you or you like that feature, it’s a good buy.
