Exactly what I needed for my family of five we eat a lot of eggs in this house !

Was looking for something to keep my eggs in order so I could use the freshest first. This does the job. It does take up a big portion of the fridge though compared to the bowl I had filled with eggs. But with my bowl I couldn’t always use the freshest first. I do own a counter top spiral egg holder for warmer months but in winter the eggs have to go directly in the fridge so this fit the bill and the price was ok.

I’m glad I purchased this egg drawer. I knew that I wanted to switch from my regular egg holder that was long. I saw this and liked that it had storage option on the top. I also like that you could put 30 eggs because I like eggs so I buy a lot at a time. this has more than enough space. I did wait a while to purchase because I felt it was a little on the expensive side. So I researched it and found it only on a handful of sites that were charging more. I also read that eggs like to be in dark cool places. So with all that, I decided to pull the plug. Once I received it, it was larger than I had expected, but I don’t know what I was expecting anyway. It was nicely packaged and nothing was bent or damaged. I did wipe down in soap and water before putting together. It does come in three parts and the drawers are able to fully pull out, which I like because I feel it makes it easier to get to the eggs and have a better grip. I also like that if I need to get something from the very top where the storage is, I can just pull the top off and take it to the counter. The top storage has good space. I use it for cream cheese, butter, etc. This drawer freed up some fridge space and gave me extra storage. My only one tiny little gripe is that the sections don’t “click” in. They just sit flush on top of each other, but I guess that’s for one of my pluses, that you can remove them easily and bring them to the counter. I have not had any problems with this. Overall I’m actually ok with paying $25 for this thing. It did make life a little easier. It does exactly what it’s supposed to do.

Not sure if I like it. It was weird getting it in the mail in two pieces with no instructions, pictures, something to mime, nor any hardware with it. Ya look at the contraption and play with it to say hmmm how does it work? Eventually, you see springs and a track and play with it again wondering do the springs go to the back or the front? how does it slide without falling out? So then you look at the shelf and yes you need to take the shelf out, hook the spring loaded side to the back and pull it to the front, the put the shelf back on. Once you have it in place slide the container in place.
So now I’m skeptical because there’s no way to securely fasten/keep the device in place or rather from sliding side to side. Also as you open and close the fridge and the container the eggs bounce against each other; will I have a mess some day? I get I’m careful of opening and closing but some members of the house grab a soda and will kick or body slam the door close (you know who I’m talking’ about!). Last I’m not sure there is a catch to stop you from pulling it out too far and dropping all the contents. To me it’s kind of like stacking all your China in a box (no partitions) and then handing it to UPS to deliver it without damage. So those are the things I see and worry about, will it create more work for me in the future?
I’ll give it some time and see. Then I’ll come back and let you know. Because they supplied zero steps on installation they will never get a 5 star from me. They should have provided 5 pictures; don’t even need words! 1. Take your shelf out; 2. Show the spring side hooking on the back; 3. Put the shelf back in; 4. Insert container with the grooves towards the front; 5. Open and fill with eggs.

I have chickens and this is so great. It insures that I use the oldest eggs first. Looks neat and clean on the counter top.
