This is a good replacement filter for my Blue 411 Air Filter by BLUEAIR. Easy to install and nearly identical to the original factory version. It comes with two filters so you have another backup filter to replace later down the line, but I kind of wish you only got one since its just added clutter that I have to store. It would be nice to have the option to just get one filter at half the price.

I’ve owned several 3rd-party filters for the Blueair 411. Compared to some, these filters fit well. There is a tiny amount of play in how the filter sits when you first get it onto the purifier, but after placing the outer fabric filter layer on, this filter sits tight and securely with even spacing between the filter folds. The filter fabric is about the same thickness as the original – but, unfortunately, the carbon filter is not. There is a noticeable decrease in the thickness of the carbon filter layer in addition to a noticeable increase in the number of holes in that later.
If you don’t care too much about the purported benefits of a carbon filter, this is a decent option for Blueair 411 filter replacements. From the research I’ve done, activated charcoal filters have to be MUCH thicker than even the original manufacturer filter to have much benefit – so even for the HEPA filtration only, this is a good, cost-effective option.

I replaced my Blueair filter with this and it works just as well. I did notice the carbon filter is thinner than the Blueair brand, but the white filter looks and feels the same. The filter was the same size as my previous and slid on effortlessly. Overall it is a good replacement and is worth the money savings.

I’ve included several side-by-side comparison photos with the used OEM filter I’m replacing on my Blue Air 411 Auto in addition to the notes below. Overall, I like what this no-name replacement offers at half the price of the first party unit and it’s a no-brainer for me to go with this.
Pros:
– Half the cost of the official Blue Air branded filter.
– Identical dimensions, fitment and installation process as the official filter.
– Had no issues booting up, resetting the red LED, and operating with the no-name filter installed.
Cons:
– No way to verify these are truly HEPA compliant filters like the first party design.
– Slightly lower build quality evident in my included photos. Note the thinner filter media in the flat photo and the messy glue application in the installed photo.
– Less obvious from the photos is the foam layer appears thinner as well.

The carbon layer is thinner than on the OEM, but it otherwise seems to be equivalent — at a rather substantial discount.

It is very difficult to determine the model number of the Blue Air Cleaner. There are no obvious model number markings on either the machine or filter. This particular product is made for the 411, according to order description and is a bit smaller than the filter for the 311. When I selected this 411 filter I based it on the order description that is on file for my purchase. I attach a picture of that order description. It is ambiguous which model you purchased there too unless one shows the details of the order. Unfortunately I have a 311 and these filters are for 411. One of the filters tore when I attempted to install it. Shipping was quick and the filter maybe a good replacement, but I never got to try it.

It come as shown in picture in seal bag, the filter paper looks sturdy and comparable to OEM one.

For us, these are fine. No one in our family has a condition that requires true HEPA filtration. If we had horrible wildfire smoke again, I’d buy the real BlueAir replacement part. As other reviews have point out, the carbon filter is obviously thinner than the OEM. On ours, there is small but visible gap where the carbon filter comes together inside the filter, so you can see the white exterior through that sliver of a gap. For the cost savings these are fine since I think we’re out of the worst risk for bad air quality for the year. I think next year, we’ll buy the real BlueAir replacement filters in case the wildfires are terrible. I wouldn’t want myself or my kids to be coughing through wildfire season because I was too cheap to buy the right product for our existing air filters.
