An air cleaner is only as good as the filters it uses. Short of a destructive teardown of these air filters, and perhaps using some scientific equipment, one can only assume the specifications listed are true. While I cannot prove it scientifically, I believe that these filters are better than the OEM and, at a better price.
I recently purchased an air filtering machine for my house and always want to have extra filters to be able to replace when required. Comparing these filters against the OEM filters, I can see no discernable difference been these and the OEM filters and, they fit perfectly in the machine. However, there are slight differences if you look closely. The OEM filters are lighter, weighing 11.3 oz while these filters weigh 16 oz. The only reason I can see is that with these filters, looking closely at the backside, they have more charcoal nuggets within each honeycomb pocket and a few more pleats on the front (74 for the OEM and 87 on these).
An added bonus (besides a better price) is that these also come with a prefilter which attaches to the front size via a Velcro type strip on the four corners of the filter box.
Overall, I am very pleased with these as they exceeded my expectations.

These filters fit right in to our purifier and even have an extra layer of filtration. I had no problem getting them in and the extra filter layer seems to preserve the HEPA filter longer.
