I bought this unit and the https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0B8H7RLX1/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1. I kept this one and returned the Lencent. I tested both with a socket circuit tester: Neither showed to be grounded. I believe the case is probably that none of these types of adaptors will provide ground for an otherwise ungrounded socket; ground can only be provided by re-wiring, which I don’t care to do. See the photos, and note the two lights, versus one, that are lit in a properly grounded circuit.

What this unit provides instead of grounding is a surge protector. You can tell the surge protector is working by a tiny LED light on the unit. The instructions say that at some point — years but I don’t recall how many — the light will no longer be on and that will indicate that the surge protector is worn out. The sockets will still work, but your protection is gone. (The indicator light is very tiny and dim — no worries about it keeping you up at night or lighting the room at all.)

I kept this one and returned the Lencent because this Trond has, to my mind, a far superior design. Specifically, the sockets point away from each other, making it capable of holding multiple plugs that couldn’t be together if the sockets pointed the same way. It’s a smart design. It’s also tidy for all it can do.

I use it for an 8,000 BTU air conditioner, a power strip for electronics, and more; and it has worked just fine for 3 months now.

I purchased multiple after the first arrived. Excellent quality and lots of ports

I like that it had 2 prong to 3 prong outlets and the USB outlet works great. The only problem I have with this item is that it is loose and easily come out of the wall socket.
