I do like this laptop. My last one purchased 1.5 years ago for quite a bit more was an Asus and the speaker sound was awful from the beginning. I have absolutely no complaints about this laptop other than when my son researched for me, I wanted an internal CD/DVD drive and the picture of the product showed it having one. It did not, so I am disappointed in that. BUT- I am other wise very happy with this computer. I use it for scrolling the web, emails, word processing and Graphic Design (with Adobe programs). I am very happy with it.

The listing shows this as having a 128GB SSD plus a 1TB HDD hard drive, but it only has the 128 SSD of which only 119GB is accessible. There is no 1TB HDD drive with this computer. Will be returning it for a replacement or refund.
Update: I contacted the seller and got an immediate response, the problem was with me, not the product, in this upgraded system, the 1TB HDD drive does not show up under the control panel system properties as it is a completely separate drive from the operating system drive. Seller explained that and how to locate and check the properties of the upgraded drive, which shows up in the bios as the D drive, I mistakenly assumed the 1TB drive would be the operating drive (C drive). The seller was very helpful and patient with me, I will not be returning it as stated above and have upgrade my rating to five stars. Thanks to the seller for educating me on this.
Update: Right after the warranty expired the hinges broke inside the case and I have to hold the base together with clamps. I wasn’t going to mention it, but I just received a question from another person with the exact same problem, so this seems to be an issue that HP needs to address on this model. For that reason I lowered my rating to two stars, it works well until the warranty period is over, then seems to just fall apart.

The ten-key pad is great. The machine starts fast and loads programs quickly. My larger programs run smoothly and do not hesitate. Battery life a little shorter than I expected. USB ports on the left side are too close together. I can not use 2 of them at once. Up and down arrow keys are small.
MAMA SIESTA –
Personal use. Really like. It is light weight, silver color sleek design. Impressive looking. Very easy to set up. It has everything I wanted. Especially the optical drive (this is not on most new pc’s) Only thing I don’t like is keyboard is silver and keys are difficult to see. At this time this is the only negative statement I have about my new laptop.

I still have to take some time to figure out some of the programming, but I haven’t had a new computer in years and needed one. My husband bought it for himself but discovered it wouldn’t support his music program. I needed one so desperately. And you just can’t beat 4 years of insurance on it. It feels good. The size is fantastic. I’m just loving working with it already.
