This product was packed well and arrived undamaged. It’s rather imposing on the countertop, so pay attention to the dimensions in the write-up to see if you have space for it. I ordered this vacuum sealer specifically for liquids such as tomato sauce, soups, stews, marinades, etc–a way to cut the step of freezing liquids in containers before vacuum sealing them in bags. The results I had in using the machine were mixed for that purpose. First, the provided bags for inside the chamber are smooth, so you’ll have to find a way to clip them open and stable in order to pour liquid into them because holding them as you pour is very difficult. There’s also no label area on the bags. This is not a big deal because I can use whatever bag I want that will fit in the chamber. Smooth bags, such as, for instance, mylar quart-sized bags, are used in the chamber because there’s a clip at the front that keeps a space open for the air to come out.
I put a quart of tomato sauce (we had a lot of tomatoes come in this year and making sauce from them works well for freezer storage) in a bag, cleaned the bag where the heater strip goes, and set it in the chamber. There was just enough room in the chamber to keep the sauce from escaping, but it took some fiddling to get the bag properly clipped for vacuum. After plugging the unit in, the machine is ready to go to work. Following the operation directions, I first set the seal strip timer to 6 seconds. I had read somewhere in the instructions that the chamber bags should be set at 6 seconds, but the instruction booklet isn’t very helpful. It just says to set the timer. This is an important issue for most users. There should be a guide right there in the operating instructions so a user can make a proper decision. After setting the sealing timer, you select the vacuum operation. For this, I just used the “Smart” button. You can also experiment with custom settings, but I didn’t see a need to do that.
The machine did okay on vacuum. The noise wasn’t any worse than other vacuum sealing machines, it did the job of evacuating air from the bag, and then it sealed the bag. Some drops of tomato sauce were sucked out of the bag and had to be wiped up.
Bottom line: The machine will use an array of bag types for vacuum packing in the chamber or outside the chamber for larger items. However, for vacuum sealing liquids, the results were not what I was hoping for (easy to use/non-fussy/no product loss), and there’s a steeper than average learning curve on operating the machine.

So far I have tried this out on green chili, bread, raw pork chops, beans, and cooked rice. It does better on the dry food than the liquid food. The directions are ok, but could be improved. I had to do a lot of trial and error to figure the machine out. I would hit the smart vac and the bag would still have air, so I would open and retry again. It takes about 60 seconds to suck out the air and seal. This is the third vacuum sealer I’ve owned over the years, and it’s the largest. It’s too bulky to leave on the counter so I store it in a cupboard.

I’m 68 and can’t believe I waited so long to get this amazing Wevac vacuum sealer! At first, I was a bit intimidated by it, but now I wish I ordered it much sooner. As recent retirees who cook every day and buy groceries in bulk, especially meats, space has always been an issue in our very old refrigerator with just a small freezer space at the top of it. Frost on our foods was a constant annoyance, and wasted leftovers were common occurrence.
Since I started using this vacuum sealer, things have changed dramatically. It arrived promptly and I was pleasantly surprised by how easy it was to use. Instead of freezing large packs of meats, I can now seal them individually, saving space and keeping them frost-free. The sealing process is flawless, leaving absolutely no air in the bags. This device is clearly high-quality and versatile. I especially love that it offers both chamber vacuum and external vacuum options. I appreciate the customizable vacuum settings and the smart vac feature, which makes sealing so easy.
I’ve even sealed left over beef stew and vegetable soup without any mess, something I’d normally have to discard. This vacuum sealer has saved us space, money and precious food. While we still plan to buy a new refrigerator/freezer, I can’t imagine being without this appliance now. It works flawlessly, is compact enough to fit on my small kitchen counter without displacing other devices, and has even won over my daughter, who cooks for her husband and four children daily. They’re now buying one for themselves. This vacuum sealer is a fantastic investment, and I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to save space, reduce food waste, and keep their food fresh for longer.

I love the wevac brand! Everything we have ever gotten this brand has worked great, that is why I ordered this! I was a little imitated by this at first but after reading through the instructions and playing with the sealer I am loving this! I have used it to mostly to vacuum seal meats but it worked great to seal ground meat and steaks! Isn’t real loud when working. Seals good

I got this vacuum sealer because I pre package my meats with what ever marinade I’m using for that specific meat. So it’s crucial that there’s a good seal made after the vacuum process and I also like using the thicker plastic bags, that seems to hold up better. This vacuum sealer is Miles a head of the regular home version vacuum sealer. It’s easy to use and does the job fast and efficient. It’s also not too noisy and it’s it’s a well-made appliance. I definitely recommend this product.

Very poor instructions. No matter how many different times I did it and different bags it would always leave air inside. This is my 4th vac sealer and the most expensive and it is the worst one. Highly disappointed.
