Device work well for both WIFI and Bluetooth. Was easy to install for me and overall seems to do just what I wanted.

I have no complaints. I had a Netgear USB wifi adapter and I was regularly disconnected from the network with it, because of my distance from the router. With this, my speeds are several magnitudes better, I have max signal strength, and I never get disconnected.

With that said, this thing has some real issues. The *transparent(!!)* orange tape over the connector, what in the heck were they thinking? It’s so hard to see. if there weren’t for the reviews here, I probably would have destroyed my PCIe port and returned here to give this a bad review. I’m almost certain a good chunk of the “didn’t work” reviews were because that thin piece of film is so hard to see under normal lighting conditions, and so people just throw it in their MB and it borks everything. Just an awful choice to make about a good NIC card.

Secondly, windows WILL NOT be able to find the drivers for this, out of the box. The Wavlink website, amazingly, also has the *WRONG drivers* for this. Yes, you read the correctly (see pic). Following the instructions Wavlink provided themselves *in the package(!!)*, windows will throw you a vague error about the drivers (provided on the website) not working. Wavlink can’t even be bothered to check that the drivers for this (WL-WN675X2) even work. Amazing!

Thankfully, you can completely ignore the wavlink website, which you 100% should considering their history. This card, in actuality, is an AMD/MediaTek RZ608, and Windows 10 recognizes it as such (see pic 2). If you google “mediatek rz608 drivers” the Microsoft Catalog Update page should be in the top results, which is where you’ll find the required drivers.

This is a review of only the Wifi part of this card, because I don’t have the connection on my motherboard to make the Bluetooth work.

This card comes very well packaged, honestly, I was surprised at the quality of packaging for the price. It is a very sturdy device that is easy to handle. The heatsink on it make it east to handle without touching any sensitive bits on it.

The only issue I had with this came from installing the driver. The website is not intuitive, and you have to use device manager to install the drivers. It would have been nice if they had some driver installation software instead of making users do it manually. Eventually I gave that up and just ran Driver Booster IObit (highly recommended BTW, WELL worth the price for a license to keep all drivers on your PC up to date, you can update drivers even with the free one to some extent though.)

Driver Booster found a compatible driver for me and installed it. Of course, this was only possible because I had a USB TPLink that I could connect to the internet with, though to get the driver you have to somehow access the internet anyway. They could have included a USB drive with the driver on it or something. For the size they would need the price of those USB drives would have been negligible enough for them to include one.

After set up I find that I have a very stable connection, the fastest one in the house actually, with fantastic upload, and download speeds, as well as very low latency and jitter. Any issues I have with the internet at a given time is either from my ISP or from my router (which probably needs replacing but it’s not mine.)

I don’t have WiFi 6 , but I suspect most people don’t. This card will likely last me for many years through a number of PC iterations.

There were no items in the package that were damaged or missing. I’ve built my own computers since 1992, and worked in the IT industry since 2002. The first adapter I received was not recognized in Device Manager. I tried different PCIE slots and different computers. Same result. I returned it, and another one was sent. The second adapter was recognized, but the drivers would not work, except for the Bluetooth. I spent hours troubleshooting to see if I could find a driver for the network adapter that would work, but nope.

Drivers are not sent with the product. It uses Intel drivers, anyway, so you don’t need to go to the WAVLINK site to download and install them. Windows 10 will initially recognize the wi-fi adapter as “Bluetooth Device (Personal Area Network)”, but it won’t work with those drivers. If I try to install the latest Intel drivers for the AX200, it will give a Code 31 error.

Obviously, the network adapter works for some people, but many people in various online store and video comments sections are having the same issue as me. Maybe I just got two bad wi-fi adapters? At any rate, hopefully when you order yours, yours works.

I bought this mainly because of the external antenna.. I have several that have the antenna directly connected to the card and the signal was not nearly as strong… With this card setting the antenna as high as possible has a drastic change of signal strength… The external antenna is the trick.. I would definitely buy more

Got this for use in a cinderblock home… traditionally have had to use Powerline Networking as the walls block wifi… but reviews said wifi6 worked through concrete a little, so I figured I would try it…
Data rates are only around 30MBps… but that is crazy fast when going through concrete.
Distance from router is about 50 feet, with 8 inches of concrete, plus other traditional drywalls in between.
And does actually run faster than powerline on this old house.

I spent an hour trying to install this and I was unsuccessful at every attempt. I downloaded the installation software and expanded the files in a folder that I created on my desktop. I removed the current adapter using device manager, shut my computer down, unplugged the PS and installed the new adapter. I then tried to install the new adapter using device manager and the proper software and when it failed repeatedly I gave up on it, returned it and ordered a different brand that installed without a problem on the first attempt.
