Seller was great, and item is exactly as described. But, be careful during installation. You’ll need to remove the rubber o-ring from the old unit and put it on the new one. The new unit does not come with the o-ring. Glad to have caught this before installation.

Easy to replace.
Original problem was dishwasher wasn’t heating. Google search suggested either the heating element or flood switch was bad. I ordered one of each, but only the switch was bad.

GE profile dishwasher stopped heating during any cycle/any temp setting. Came along a few YouTube videos and everyone mentioned this part as the cause. Figured I’d give it a try and sure enough after about 20 mins to swap it out ran it again and everything it working as expected. Hopefully I’ll get another 7 years out of this one.
The old part was completely gunk’d up and the sensor inside would not move freely, which makes me wonder if spending the time to clean it would also have solved the problem, but for the price I didn’t want to mess with cleaning it this time around.

I couldn’t figure out why my GE dishwasher wasn’t getting the water hot anymore. I replaced everything I could think of until I found a video online about this little piece of heaven. I wish I had found out about this thing before I replaced all the high value components that could cause the water to not get hot. Easy installation (less than 5 minutes.) Once installed, I ran the dishwasher and the water was hot again! Easy peasy!!

Product was as described and fit my dishwasher perfectly. I was having issues with it not heating up or drying and replacing this part fixed my issues.
AM –
The float disk base came loose and sat all the way at the bottom on the flood switch shaft. Had to use a multimeter and toothpick to push it up to the point where the switch was triggered. The mechanism that holds the float at the correct height to trigger electrical continuity is very poorly designed and may fail after many washing cycles.
On the Original GE part, the float disk base mechanism (gray) where the float (white) rests upon is built into place and does not move.
For the price paid I guess failure is to be expected. I recommend getting a higher quality part.
