I have a new GE stove and it has the big, heavy (ugly) grates. These little feet keep the grates from shifting and they protect the stove top finish. I don’t need the rubber feet right now, but odds are good that I will need them eventually. I like to be prepared and have backup for things that will need to be replaced at some point. When my stove arrived, one little rubber foot had a lot of play in the hole, and I envisioned something happening to it. Since the big fat grates have to be removed for cleaning every time I use the stove, that rubber foot will shift, maybe causing the head to get torn off or it will fall out because it’s so loose, and maybe get lost in neverland or vacuumed up into never ever land.
The rubber feet arrived today and I immediately fitted one in place. Perfect. Now, if anything happens to the feet, I can simply replace it without having to shop, guess if the replacement fits, and wait for it to arrive. Those grates are heavy and would be punishing to the stove finish if they banged it, thus, ugly dent forever. Nope, not happening on my watch.
These little rubber feet are too inexpensive and a fair price for 24 count, to not keep them at the ready. I’m glad I got them now, so I don’t have to fuss with it later.
