This was a perfect replacement for my noisy evaporator fan motor, EXCEPT that the two bolts that are used to mount the motor have no threads to bite in the new unit. The original bolts just slide in without friction. Not different size threads, but NO threads in the new motor. To make use of the bargain unit I put a bunch of Teflon tape on the bolts (for some friction) and turned them in to position the motor properly and prevent up down movement, then I applied two tie wraps, one to each side of the motor to lock it in place. It seems very secure and is running quiet.
The replacement is so similar to the original, it appears that it may be possible to move the motor part from the old motor to the new one that has the proper threads, but I didn’t want to risk damaging the new unit by modifying it.
