These were recommended by 3M, to fit the Dell Ultrasharp 27″ monitor.
The issue is that the monitors themselves have a 1/4 inch flush bezel around the display, which is just empty space.
A better choice would have been to make these sheets of plastic slightly oversized to stick on the outside of the display, instead of the double sided tape being visible on the outer edges of the screen, distorting the image.
These are quite expensive and I was hoping that a product which was specifically recommended for this application, would have taken that into account.
Seems like a waste of money in retrospect. I will continue to use these until I find an alternative and will update this review.

This cover works perfectly. If you are not right in front of the screen, you cannot see what is displayed.

This would likely be a great privacy filter if it covered my whole screen. I’m using a Samsung S24C450. It’s a 16:10 monitor. This filter is 2cm too narrow.

Product works like it’s supposed to. I didn’t apply the strips or side mounts as my monitor has a raised bezel around the screen. The filter sits in that perfectly so there was no need for me to use those, so I can’t speak to that part. The filter itself lowers the brightness of the screen but only by a little and my monitor brightness wasn’t set at the highest setting so I adjusted that and it’s fine. There’s no distortion in how the screen looks and it completely blocks the view immediately outside of the 60 degree field-of-view. It’s works really well and is worth the money, in my opinion.

I’ve bought three of these. They are expensive, but my eyes are more comfortable and the privacy is priceless. Working from home I do not want my family to be able to view confidential information from my job. With these filters there is no chance of someone walking behind me and reading something they should not be reading.

Our offices are open on 3 sides in order to project a welcoming atmosphere to parents and students. However, information regarding those students must remain confidential…it is a difficult needle to thread. The 3M privacy screen enables us to keep information confidential while running a busy front office.
