Good quality, comfortable to wear, especially with the breathing valve. Easy breathing. Good in circumstances when you don’t have to worry about infecting other people with your germs.

We love this particular design because the straps are soft material Instead of feeling like rubber bands. They don’t pinch or pull at your hair or skin. Easy to breathe because of the valve but keeps the dust out!

Been using this for months now. Best cost to quality ratio I’ve found. Best price I found for genuine 3m masks. Pretty breathable but not a miracle. Comfortable enough, but not for hours.

So I don’t have any peer-reviewed, RDBPC studies to back this, but I think these are very very good for both protecting yourself against airborne “stuff” and for protecting others from your exhalations. No, no, hear me out.
There is a lot of emotion about these exhalation-valve masks since the pandemic, but if you actually examine this thing, the exhalation valve is very heavily baffled. I’m not going to claim it’s *impossible* to exhale physical droplets while wearing one of these, but it seems extremely unlikely just from the construction and from my own informal testing. (Try to blow out a candle through that valve from a distance of two feet, you’ll see what I mean.)
Anyway, I have been an EMS responder for a long time, and this to me is an excellent compromise between wearability (what the review ratings call “comfort”) and protection. As a small side benefit, the exhalation valve transmits sound better than the mask fabric, so you can make yourself understood that much better.
Anyway, they’re cheap and highly protective against dust and airborne moisture, and I truly don’t think they allow you to exhale any of the latter. If you really have to wear a mask for an extended period of time, you should at least consider these.

General dust, to include Rock Dust. Don’t waste your time buying the big box hardware store brand masks. These will provide the best protection for particulates they fit better and are more comfortable. On job sites I always keep it around my neck ready to go in case I need it. I now only use the 3M masks and keep a stock of these at home. Trust me you don’t want Rock dust or Silica in your lungs. It only took a few un expected lungfulls on a job site to really hurt me. Now I am smarter and always have one of these 3M respirators on me. Please stay safe out there and wear your masks and who cares what anybody thinks.
Thanks!

I was power sanding my home’s exterior. These masks did a great job of protecting me. Never had to blow my nose clean of dust. They seal well and I had minimal eye google fogging.

Great mask but 3M price gouging $. I would think twice before stocking a crib with them . It fits variety of face shapes . Take note the band pulls very tight 💪, but that’s good news. If you wear glasses you need this mask . No fogging.

I’m one of the 16% of Americans who still wears a mask in public situations. (I really have to stop reading all those scientific studies!) Anyway, since people aren’t wearing masks any more, I figure it’s OK to wear a valved exhalation masked now. Boy are they more comfortable than the enclosed N95s. The straps are (intentionally) short so it really smacks itself onto your face, but that’s the idea, right?

I got these because of the Alberta wildfires. When I have them on I literally can’t smell any of the smoke, so they almost get a full 5 stars for that. However they are a bit tight and they leave an imprint on my face after taking them off so I feel I need to dock them a star.
If you’re main concern is your health in smoky environments these are fantastic though.
