I wanted to bump up the primary drive size in my computer. I had a system using two M.2 SSDs in a Raid 0 configuration. I planned to replace them with a single M.2 SSD as my primary, keep one of the old SSDs as a high speed scratch pad drive, and put the remaining old SSD in this portable case to create a super flash drive.
I started by installing my new replacement SSD in this SSD case. Then I cloned my existing primary drive from the RAID to the new SSD through the USB port. Then I disabled the existing RAID and test booted the new SSD from this case through a USB port. Everything work fine (if not comparatively slow). After that I removed the old RAID, installed the new SSD in the primary M.2 slot, left one of the old SSDs in the second M.2 slot, and placed the remaining old SSD in this portable case. I had to use Diskpart to remove existing partitions on the old SSD and reformat, but other than that, all went well and everything is working as expected.
The down side to this product. The only thing I found minorly irritating about the case was the very tight fit of the end cap and the fidgity design of the SSD hold down screw. These are minor design flaws that don’t affect performance and only come to light when installing the SSD.
The disappointing aspect of this product are the included cables. The USB A to USB C cable produced a “defective USB device” error the two times I tried to use it. Fortunately I has several similar cables, but not USB 3.1 rated. That may explain the unremarkable bench mark ratings compared to a USB 3 flash drive. The USB C to USB C cable seemed to work, but I was getting file errors when trying to transfer files from my phone to this unit. I’ve ordered a new cable and we’ll see what happens.
Overall, I like this unit. It’s small and offers all the advantages of a flash drive (requires no external power, small size) with higher speed. It also gives new life to your old M.2 SSD (which probably has more data capacity than most of the USB flash drives you have laying around). Be sure to pay attention to the compatibility of this unit to your SSD, and don’t rely on the included cables to work.
UPDATE: Received both my USB 3.1 cables and yes, it made a big performance difference. Errors disappeared and the performance between the enclosure and my desktop increased substantially (over using a USB 2.0 cable). Keep the enclosure, throw away the cables.

first time package was sent it was not sealed therefore envelope was empty, but once sender was aware a new one was sent and received shortly thereafter. this time envelope was sealed and all is well.

Bus 004 Device 003: ID 1de1:1101 Actions Microelectronics Co. Generic Display Device (Mass storage mode)
La commande lsscsi montre ceci:
[9:0:0:0] disk AMicro AM8180 NVME 1.00 /dev/sdg

First off the enclosure works pretty well once you have all the drive plugged in. You can put in any m2 NVME drives into this and it will automatically detect. Make sure you have the correct hard drive as it does not fit M2 sata drives unfortunately. I will say installation on this is a bit annoying. The board is pretty secure inside the case but you actually need to open and pull the motherboard out which can be hard. I luckily had some nails so I was able to pull the board out. You have to unscrew the panel (two screws and screwdriver is included) and than pull out the motherboard. The next part about this is that the screw is a bit weird. You do not screw it from top to bottom. You actually have to screw it from the bottom of the board in order to chip down which is quite annoying. Once you have it secured though, it is not going anywhere. It has no heat sink or anything so your hard drive will not have the same cooling as many others but I have not seen any heating issue other than it getting slightly warm during transfer. It does come with two cables. One type c to type c and the other being a type c to type a. I am not a fan of the type c cables that come with this as the head actually wobbles a little bit compared to my other m2 cases. It may actually break a lot sooner than may other cables. The enclosure itself is made out of metal it is prone to scratches but you can protect it by getting a case or something for it. It is light and you can easily carry this in your pocket or backpack if you wanted to. I shook it a few times to see if the drive shakes around but it holds pretty well inside. The transfer speed through this is pretty fast. You are looking at 160 to 140 MB/s on average with this. I am able to transfer a ton of data quickly and without any worry about it getting too hot. Overall I think this enclosure works pretty well with M2 NVME drives, but again it can be a bit annoying to install the drive and the type c cable is not well built as again it wobbles like a loose tooth the tip of the cable.

My iphone xr automatically started connecting to my monitor when I used the cable without the app. I downloaded the app to view its features and the app works. Will use the app if I want to view the mirror screen horizontally. Without the app, the mirror to your monitor will be vertical or in portrait.
