I use this mostly when I travel. It is awesome to be able to connect my iPhone to the hotel tv and just watch my streaming apps. Some hotels have the option to connect via your phone but others are still behind the times and this simple cord solves the issue without a headache.

This cable worked perfectly when my other new one had stopped. My MacBook had just done a large update and for some reason my other new cable was no longer happy staying connected to my 40″ tv that I use for a monitor. It would keep flickering and cutting off and on, this was still a new cable. I saw this cable was Apple MFI certified so I wanted to try it. Worked perfectly right away! It’s also got a better cable sheathing that is just like the Apple charging cable so they match now too. I’m very happy with this one! Great working product at a great value!

I got this cable for connecting an external monitor/TV with HDMI input to a laptop via a USB-C port so I can get a secondary display with audio, either a computer monitor or a 4K TV at 60 Hz. The cable is well made and it works as expected.

I was looking for a cable for my MacBook Pro because this Halloween I’m using it to connect to my projector to living the house up a bit during trick or treating! The cable is nicely braided, fits securely on both ends, and is just the right length. No issues I can find with it at all and no loss in quality. If you’re looking to use your MacBook (or any laptop that uses usb-c for external display) then look no further.

Works.

To connect a newer laptop with only USB-C output to an older HDMI monitor, I was having to use a dock. That was a bulky solution requiring a cable going to the dock (which needed a surface to sit on) and then the HDMI cable going to the screen. This single-cable solves the problem much better for the 99% of the time the dock isn’t needed, and worked just fine.

Just plugged it into my iPhone 15 PRO, plugged in the HDMI cable from my TV input and voila, my iPhone screen was on my tv. PERFECT !

Does this work?
Yes, this Type-C to HDTV cable works, however, I am not going to use this on my Apple Products.
Why?
Because I do not want to risk using a non-certified inexpensive cable on my expensive Apple products.
Why did I select this then?
I selected this because the listing claimed Apple MFi Certified. However, when received, I noticed two (2) significant concerns. (1) I see no brand name on the box, so, to me this is a generic cable.
So, the brand name’s not on the box? But a brand name is suggested in the listing.
Yes, I saw a brand name suggested within the listing. However, when I searched that brand name, I saw no corroboration that the brand name was associated with the Apple MFi Certified authorized [licensee] list of manufacturers.
Maybe the brand isn’t, but their manufacturer is.
Okay, so, that kicks in my significant concern (#2). Where is the MFi badge? My understanding is that if an accessory is Apple MFi certified, it can proudly sport an MFi badge for the device it was certified for. I found no MFi badge anywhere, leading me to conclude there is a lack of evidence, to prove, to me, beyond my reasonable doubt, that this cable is a MFi certified device, which is a significant disappointment. The only reference to this being Apple MFi Certified is a sticker on the retail, cardboard package this arrived in with the words it was. [Now the package did display a bunch of badges, but not the Apple MFi certified product badge.
This only firms my suspicion this is not an official Apple MFi certified product.
Oh, by the way
Unless Apple needed to update their badges, as of October 2023, there is no MFi badge for Mac products. Further, I should have selected a cable that was longer.
Country of origin?
Made in China
