I had a very older model Apple Watch it was like the series 3 and it was broken. I was looking for a newer model and with this price I said I mind as well get the latest model. I love the features and I love the cloth sports band. The other bands irritate my skin and its you either have it on too tight or too loose, It is just as described. It’s a big improvement from the one I had before. I recommend this one if you have a older model watch.

I have been using an Apple Watch 6th generation for a time, and thought it was time for an update, as I do rely a bit on the health features since having a longer illness, to monitor things. I figured the sensors would have improved by now, among other things. I’ll be honest – I see very little difference between my old 6 and the new 9th generation. On the plus side, the speaker and mic seem to be a little better on the 9, as it’s easier to hear phone calls, and they say I’m louder on their end. However, on the con side, the battery life on the 9 actually seems WORSE than on my 6, and, the “ping” that taps your wrist when you get a notification is weaker on the 9 than on my 6 (even when set on high).

The new processor on the 9 is marginally better in real-world use. I got the new magnetic larger band with it, so in that regard it’s nice they have one offering that fits larger wrists – though I do also use 3rd party stretch bands for comfort. All in all, as a standalone Apple Watch, I say the 9th generation is very nice, but, if you already have a 6 or newer, so long as nothing is wrong with it, I’d say there’s not a huge reason to upgrade to this one. There aren’t really any new sensors (except one for temperature) and it pretty much does what the last 2-3 generations did.

Side note: I have had the opportunity to use an Apple Watch ULTRA (1st gen), and I can say that if you can handle a larger and heavier watch, that one (and the new gen 2) are definitely an upgrade over the regular Apple Watch. I have large wrists, and the larger screen of the Ultra is a pleasure to use compared to the others – battery life is so much better, as are the antennas, speaker, etc. So if you can swing the $$$ for one and don’t mind the size, really, updating from a regular series to the Ultra might be the way to go.

Tracking A-fib, heart rates, blood pressure, and a plethora of other health statistics is easily reviewed and notifications displayed on this beauty! Is you have a simple or complex medicinal schedule the app helps keep it up to date and the watch makes it very convenient to log. Worth the money for sure.

Battery needs charging daily and it took a couple updates on my iPhone 12 before I could pair them. Make sure your phone can be updated to 17.0. It works well and has a good selection of watch faces but I gave it a 4 because the price and battery life. My Samsung Frontier costs less and keeps a charge for 3 days. The Samsung is my work watch and this is my leisure time watch.

This is my first Apple Watch and day 1 having it. It’s all set up and I have been enjoying it very much so. Features are great and I haven’t even used them all.. battery life is wonderful. Color is great for my complexion Thank You Amazon for the series 9.

My last Apple Watch was a series 3. I had for a few years switched to a Fitbit but decided to go back to Apple Watch this year. I’m truly enjoying this series 9. It helps me focus on the important stuff without having to take my phone out as often. That’s important to me because once get a call or notification on my phone I later get distracted scrolling on different apps. With the watch I see the notification and answer if I need to without much distraction. The rings and seeing my steps (using a pedometer app) motivate me to move more which I’m excited about. I had my baby 3 weeks ago and my hands are so busy now. Having the watch and asking Siri to make calls, set reminders or appointments in the calendar has been so nice. The watch is also beautiful. So in my opinion it helps make life a little easier and it’s also pleasant to look at so that’s a plus 😅

I got this to replace an older Apple Watch. The clock face stays on and the battery lasts longer than my old watch. Plus this isn’t connected to an outside line that costs money that I don’t need to spend. It’s perfect for an older lady like myself.

I am a senior citizen and although I’m not a computer genius, I can get around Apple devices. I have a phone and an ipad. I’ve had a FITBIT for years.
That said……I found this watch very daunting. I read the entire 398 page guide and also several youtube videos. I finally have it set up and really? it doesn’t do what I really wanted it for.
It counts steps but it does not show those steps on the watch face. What a disappointment!
It’s like having a phone on your wrist.
I’m also not impressed with the battery life. I have to charge it every night.
So…..if you want a phone on your wrist, then this is for you. If you just wanted a more complex fitbit, this also is for you but remember that it doesn’t show your steps on the watch face. You need to download a 3rd party app to get your steps on the watch face and that’s only after you’ve clicked on your steps on the “activity” app and updated your steps.
    OY!!!!!
