I like everything about this laptop, like the beautiful color rendition on the screen, the fast turn on/off, the good capacity hard drive, the great flipping of the screen and base. Only concern is that it can get quite hot. The fan has three speeds but they don’t always do a good job to evacuate the heat.

I wanted a replacement for my laptop/tablet. I have been using a Lenovo miix 700, since 12/16! This thing is a beast. Not a powerhouse, by any means, but I carried it with me daily, and it runs everything I needed it to (office, internet browsing, music, etc.) Just recently, I noticed that the battery life is significantly shortened.
I wanted a new laptop with processing powered to run my smokeless range/video scenario trainer programs with more ease. I was leaning toward another Lenovo product because of the durability of this one (and it was NOT designed to be rugged). I looked at the hp spectre x360, Lenovo’s 7i and 9i, Samsung Galaxy book, and of course the Asus’ (I did look at some Acers in this class, but as an afterthought).
Unfortunately, my setup required an HDMI port, which cut some choices out, and I really wanted to stick with this form factor. So off to best buy I went, to get a hands on look at what was available. I also wanted to see how b&m retailers we’re pricing. After that outing, I went to do more research online. A concern was overheating, but I’m not a gamer, and I planned on using a cooling pad. Some of the online reviews mentioned that the keyboard was cramped, and initially that was a concern, because I’ve got large hands, but after seeing the unit in person, I thought, “yeah, it’s compact, but it’s a 13 inch unit! Why buy an ultra portable, if you’re going to complain about it being small?!”. That being said, I didn’t have any issues at all with the keyboard (granted, I’m not typing a copy of war and peace…).
Upon unboxing the unit (very impressed with the packaging loved the way they built the box so that when it was opened, the laptop raised toward you slightly!), I removed the documentation, power adapter, stylus, audio, and Ethernet adapter dongles. The also include a nice slipcase for the computer.

After a brief charge, I powered on the unit, and was pleasantly surprised and the quick setup (win11). Of course after setup, it went through about 20-30 minutes of updates.

The next day I started to load my work software on the unit, everything went without incident however, I noticed that the battery life was rapidly depleting (just going off the predicted battery life icon). I changed the power profile, which gave me more time, but still not what was expected. After installing all files, I shut down for the night. The next day, I went to ensure that all of the firmware was up to date (I was surprised that several items needed update (bios, wifi, graphics), all which could play a part in the battery life.
Those updates went without a hitch.
Upon reboot, the expected battery life seems to reflect a reasonable number.

I don’t want to say this unit is heavy, but it definitely feels solid. I like the utilitarian brushed metal look (brushed concentric pattern), although the black and rose gold on the flip S, is cool.
Through the setups, and this far, I’ve had no issues with it getting warm…although I’ve had it on the cooler pad, remember the intake vents are on the bottom. All in all, especially with the extended warranty, I’m very happy with the bang for the buck with the ZenBook Flip 13. Asus also offers 12 month (one incident) accidental damage protection, for the small price of registering your device! Although I would have reviewed this anyway, they also offered a 3 month warranty extension for submitting this review.

Got this to replace my old Microsoft Surface and Asus Laptop, and it does the job of both admirably. Having usb c and PD has been a huge upgrade over my older machines.

It’s very well built, feels solid and folds/unfolds perfectly.

Only issue I’ve had is the PD port won’t recognize the USB hub with a 100w Power brick if I disconnect from the laptop dock and reconnect. I just have to restart my dock. Not sure which is at fault, but it’s a minor distraction.

    Worth every penny!

I just set it up, but my son was the one that suggested because it doesn’t take half of the hard disk as most computers. Most computers save a backup in the hard drive as a backup that one doesn’t have access to it. I search for a 1 tb computer, but it was difficult for me to decide, so I called my son and asked him to get the right one for me and since he has one, he sent me the link. It was easy to set it up and I was able to connect the two printers I have wireless. So far, I am loving it. It’s light weight, touch screen, good size and it comes with a pouch for traveling, a magnetic pen that stays on top of it. The battery for the stylus is aaaa and it’s inside the stylus with a protective shield so that the battery won’t make contact until you are ready to use it.

Adorei o produto!

This is the perfect computer for my line of work. Has about all the latest current marketable bells and whistles one could ask for in a laptop. Fair price for an exceptional computer. Keep up the good work Asus.

I wish I could give this product a ZERO! I purchased this Flip book in mid-April. In September, It died in the middle of a document and would not come back on. I sent it in for repair under the warranty. ASUS claims that it arrived with a cracked screen. They want to charge me $460 to repair the screen. If I refuse to pay, they say they will return it unrepaired. Feels like a rip-off. The screen was not cracked when I sent it in! But how can I prove that? I did not take pictures of the screen before mailing it. I never thought this would happen and I’d need a picture. Lesson learned. And take a lesson from my experience! take pictures of anything you send in for repair! Fact is, I sent it in for repair because it would not turn on. That was the original issue. But I’m not sure they are even going to fix that. Take another lesson from me and do not purchase an Asus computer.
