Beautiful cooktop. Preferred the 5 burner version. We never have felt we needed 6 burners to order the 36600X version and moreover, it would have been too crowded. Buyers should take note that the ignition takes 5 seconds to stay lit. This is a safety feature and at first is irritating but is meant to turn off the gas to the burners, if power is lost. We had a Jennair cooktop that had auto re-ignition and was almost instant on, but would not have lit the burner if power is lost since the lighter needs power. The size and heating range of burners is really good. The twin burner in the middle is high powered and great to get a big pot hot quickly. The knobs are heavy duty and have a solid feel when adjusting the burner. And, I love the low profile rim interface with the countertop. I gave this a 4 star and not 5 because, the center burner would not ignite when I installed it. But, after calling Bertazoni for service, it was quickly fixed and not works great. There was a pinched wire that prevented the ignitor from functioning. The cooktop is installed on an island and I like having the controls on the side so that it can be operated from either side of the island without leaning over burners that may be On.

Beautiful in design, cooks food incredibly well with great control. It is so easy to clean…no stovetop can touch this!

Searched and compared for a long time before selecting. An absolute treasure and perfect addition to my kitchen! Highly recommend this or other Bertazonni offerings!

I love the low profile design of this cooktop and am overall pleased with my purchase for my center island. However, it takes the burners a while to ignite. I have to check if they’ve lit because sometimes they don’t. I checked with Bertazzoni support and they said the igniters have to get hot before they spark so that is how the igniters work. The large center ring will sometimes light, but more often than not will only light if the small center burner is lit first. That doesn’t seem right. This cooktop burns hot but evenly so I am using the smallest center ring often as the only burner that can handle low temps. It is a beautiful cooktop and fairly easy to clean. The grates are well designed and not slick, so pots move easily across the range without slipping.
