Our new Mr. Coffee (BVMC-JWX31RB-NP) 12 cup has a design flaw or two that does not allow free flow of coffee from the brew basket. The brew basket is too short – usually the arm of the water nozzle will touch it to keep it in place. Without this the basket is lifted by the coffee pot rendering the brew basket drip valve useless. Coffee cannot escape and overflows, leaving grounds in the coffee and brew basket as well as in the water reservoir. Really aggravating. Even a metal permanent filter had the same problem. Removing the drip valve (that spring thing) did not solve entirely as water is pumped in faster than it can drain. Whether that is a design flaw or improvement is unclear.

My fix: Remove drip valve (save it-never throw away spare parts) and use these filters!

These coffee filters are taller and probably a better quality allowing proper filtering in a reasonable time to avoid overflow. THEY WILL APPEAR TOO BIG – that’s ok, that extra above the brew basket will stop any overflow that could occur. Just be sure the filter is tucked under the water nozzle properly so it won’t collapse into the grounds. Our coffee has never been better!

The old brand of coffee filters I was using is no longer available, so I gave these a try because they seemed to be the cheapest option for the larger sized filters. They are exactly what I was wanting. They are perfect for my 12 cup pot; they’re tall enough to keep the four scoops of coffee from spilling over the top of the filter. It also has a good amount of filters to last a while.

A+ for quality, quantity, and price!

I’ve been using these Bunn filters for over 20 years. My wife and I drink quite a bit of coffee and do a fair amount of entertaining so we use a 12-cup Bunn commercial brewer. We’ve tried the “non-bleached” filters in the past and neither of us could detect any difference in the taste of the coffee. Why spend extra money for the unbleached filters when the regular ones work just fine? These Bunn filters fit the filter basket perfectly and we haven’t had any problems with tears or rips in any of them. Reasonably priced for the box of a thousand. Highly recommended.

I have a 12 cup Mr coffee maker. The 12cup filters kept overflowing, causing grounds to get into the pot. Don’t let the “commercial coffee makers only” statement put you off. They DO indeed fit my regular 12 cup household coffee maker. ☕️ I’m so glad I bought these! Great price, great filters!!

These coffee filters are durable, well made, and a great price but they are a little large for our Bunn coffee maker. I was hoping to buy in bulk and not need to purchase more for a long time. Now I have a large quantity of coffee filters that are a little too big. We are still using them but they collapse and then some extra coffee grounds get into the coffee.
