  • Step 1: Fold the CHEMEX filter in half. Then fold in half again, bringing the two corners together. Place your finger between the 3rd and 4th layer and open into a funnel.
  • Step 2: Place the funnel in the top portion of the CHEMEX coffeemaker, with 3 layers on the groove side. The groove is an air vent (and also the pouring spout) and allows air to escape from the lower portion of the coffeemaker.
  • Step 3: Put coffee in the filter paper cone. Use one heaping tablespoon per cup of coffee (adjust to personal taste if needed after first brew). Refer to brewing instructions for remaining steps.
  • THICKER: 20-30% thicker than the competition, specialty fiber filter design keep bitter elements, oils, and grounds in their place (and out of your cup)
  • Fits all CHEMEX Coffeemakers except CM-1, CM-1C, CM-1GH

Not much to say here aside from the fact that Chemex is an excellent way to make coffee and the Chemex brand filters are the best. Having tried other imitations of this product it is def the winner

The extra heavy construction make these a necessity for those who use the hand blown glass carafes by Chemex for their pour-over coffee. The Melitta brand frequently break, and do not fill properly because the groove in the carafe that allows for air to escape is not kept from being blocked. With the Chemex brand, the “triple” folded filter side provides that extra strength to keep the vent from being blocked, and a simple thing is kept simple.

The Chemex Bonded Filter is a game-changer for coffee aficionados like me who appreciate a clean and pristine cup of java. These filters not only excel at removing oil sediments but also enhance the overall coffee-drinking experience.

First and foremost, the thickness of these filters is truly remarkable. They effortlessly trap even the finest coffee grounds and sediments, leaving you with a smooth and sediment-free brew. This attention to detail ensures that every sip is pure coffee perfection, free from any unwanted grit or residue.

Now, a word of advice to fellow coffee enthusiasts: be sure to rinse the filter before use to eliminate any papery taste. This simple step is worth the effort and ensures that your coffee retains its full aroma and flavor profile.

These filters are great and it’s the second pack I’ve bought now. I will be purchasing again.

If your know Chemex, you know these filters. I buy the unbleached (no chlorine) and rinse them in place with hot water as instructed. I find this eliminates any paper taste and makes a seal on the glass.
This is the seller I trust to send authentic filters at reasonable rates and shipping.
Yes I like good coffee and this is the system, ground fresh with burr grinder (mine is a Dutch mocha hand grinder that looks like it is 100 years old).
