This is much a much lighter weight than my old one and I was skeptical that it would be as good. But, it’s great! I’ve used it several times and it keep liquid very hot for hours!

I really wish I could have found one of these in a store, but I had to order it online. No store seemed to carry a large thermal liquid dispenser. I bought this to take to a youth football game to store hot chocolate for my 10yo cheerleading team. The girls really appreciated having a hot beverage to keep their bodies warmed up on a frigid game day. I made a powdered hot chocolate mix and transferred it to the dispenser about 2 hours before the game began.

What I liked – attractive, stainless steel exterior; no assembly required, just clean and use right out of the box; the pot is big and holds much more than expected; nice handle for carrying; it’s very easy to pump out liquids; kept hot chocolate hot for several hours. The hot chocolate was still warm when I emptied it hours after the game; the exterior stays cool even if liquids inside are boiling; the pump straw was easy to clean and could be soaked in hot soapy water and rinsed with ease.

What I didn’t like – the exterior stainless steel can be hard to keep clean and shows spots easily. I cleaned off water spots with some windex. It’s not completely fool proof when using. I managed to pinch my fingers when pumping liquids the first time. Be careful where your fingers are! Although this lever style is easier when dispensing liquids compared to button style hot pots, little fingers can get pinched badly! It hurts so bad! It’s tricky trying to figure out how to pour hot liquid into the tall, but narrow mouthed pot without spilling or getting burned. I scooped liquid in a large, glass measuring cup with a spout and poured into the pot. Maybe practice makes perfect? This pot is also tricky to get cleaned. While I’m trying to dump out soapy water, the attached lid is threatening to clamp shut on my fingers as I turn the thing upside down in my standard sized sink. It’s so tall I’m not able to dump it sideways. I wish the lid could be fully removed to make cleaning easier.; It can be pretty heavy when filled to capacity.

The only feature I’m not so sure about is there is a lazy Susan feature on the bottom. Seems like it would be a nicer feature one would enjoy, but I’m worried it will rotate while I’m trying to use it. I’m also worried it will crack or break, leaving the bottom unsteady if that ever happens down the road. I’m also not sure if it’s leak proof. I had to keep the pot upright between my legs as we drove to our location, just in case.

My previous carafe had a glass liner, which broke one day and made a huge mess. This one is all stainless steel, keeps temperature well and is very sturdy.

We needed them for a pancake breakfast. Ordered 3 of them and they kept the coffee hot on a chilly day. Easy to dispense. After washing the pots out, you must store them open so they completely dry before placing the lid back on. Otherwise they were great and arrived on time.

My only real complaint is that it somehow regularly leaks small amounts of coffee out of the base. Not sure how or why but it’s a bit of a pain to be constantly trying to keep coffee from oozing out and staining the surface it sits on. I feel as though it might be around the plugs inside the top that hide the holes where the connector or screws that hold it together. Minor problem but still annoying. Other than that I’m happy.

These airports works great and keep the coffee hot ALL DAY. I had to add some cold water because the coffee was too hot. My only complaint is that 1 of the pots started to leak at the base.

For reference, I have owned and run a small town coffee shop in SWFL since 2007-I buy products and equipment to use as advertised-in a professional capacity-not as a novelty item to 1-up my neighbors at the next HOA meeting I happen to host.

I gave these a try after being fed up with paying $50-$70 dollars for BUNN airpots…I had used BUNN or Fetco for years-and they had always been reliable, durable, and overall worth the cost…but then the last two-three times I had ordered some to have as extras/back-ups/spares-at least one arrived damaged straight out of the box. The thing was-because they were not immediately needed-they were not opened immediately, and tested (something I now try to make sure I do with any kind of thermos I buy). They were stored high on a shelf in the stock room-until needed-only to find out then-when needed- that it was not working-and you guessed it-I was outside the return window.

That was it-out $50-$70 for something that couldn’t fulfill it’s one function-So I spent hours going through reviews of various airpot types, styles, sizes, etc…nothing seemed to be comparable to what I was used to getting from fetco or bunn…and then I found these from Cresimo. This was the first air-pot that I had run across that the specs matched the needs and the reviews-while mixed as they almost always are-gave me enough confidence to try them.

I was a little hesitant when it arrived-noticeably more lightweight straight out of the box-and while the top was more light weight and was noticeably more cheaply made (after all these cost 1/2 the price of the ones I was replacing for rampant defects)-the internal components seemed solid; from the stainless steel, to the plastic nozzle on the siphon, the rubber seats and seals-everything seemed great. When I tested the new pot I got even more excited-I put water into it that was at the same temp as I would be putting coffee-should this thing pass the test-and not one, but two days later-the thing was still hot enough to be producing steam when I lifted the lever and pumped some of the water into a cup. – We have a winner! My search has paid off. – I ordered 3 more.

One of them had to be replaced straight out of the box…not happy about it-but it happens. Return and replacement was easy and quick-I can work with that.

Fast forward to barely more than half a year later-I have had to return or trash several of these-either I ordered more back-ups and couldn’t test them immediately (they got stored and testing fell to the back burner) only to find out later on more than one occasion that my ‘back-up(s)’ was/were defective…with out any cause that I was aware of-one would turn hot to the touch when filled-so the pot is radiating heat/not holding heat…not good for coffee service. Finally had a brief spell where I wasn’t replacing one for not holding its temperature only to have the little plastic arm that works as a piston on the air-bladder inside the pump head snap-on two different lids, at two different times-within two weeks of each other-and in the middle of morning rushes no less…the last one was last week, and within that week another one of those that had seemed to be holding it’s all (temperature wise)-is now not holding its temperature.

If they were expected to be 1-3 use items, I would expect this-but I would also expect to pay no more than $5-10 for them…at $35 a piece-if these ARE in fact supposed/expected to be used in a commercial setting at all-they should be able to last a good year or two with the occasional bump against the counter when being carried the 20 ft from the kitchen to the coffee maker-which in my case is about as far as they go/travel. I have designated pots for my storefront, and others that get used for catering jobs…and the ones traveling approximately 40 ft are as frequently if not more frequently than the ones that get loaded, jostled, and carted around on catering gigs. I have not had one complete flask/siphon/lever-handled lid survive more than three months-with most surviving far less time than that. The first time I ordered one of these was July of 2021-it is now 2nd week of February-2022…and I use 4 airpots each day, then 6 -and now 7-days a week in my small business-and occasionally an extra one or two when I pick up a catering gig. So I normally have between 5 and 7 of these on hand-and feel like I have been retiring one to the trash heap or returning one every time I turn around.

As I said at the beginning of this long-winded tirade/epistle-were this something I used only on occasion-it might very well be a great product. But in a busy cafe/food business such as mine-it simply hasn’t been able to hold up.
