Bought a couple from other brands that were flimsy, felt pretty poorly built, before settling on Comfee – easy to use, easy to clean, feels like it’s build solidly enough that it won’t damage easily. Works great. Only issue is the cord is quite short, but as long as you have somewhere near the socket to plug it in then it’s no problem

My mom has been using it for a month now. Several times a day and loves it. I love it too since I cam use it when cooking. Depending on how much you fill it up, 0.3L will take about 2 minute. If it’s filled to the max then it’ll be about 7 minutes.
Something I found out was if the lid is open while boiling, it’ll keep boiling until you close it or take it off the base. Really easy to set up and use right out the box. At first I thought it was kinda loud but I got used to it and doesn’t bother me anymore. It’s not like an alarm clock, if you’re used to a pot of boiling water and being in the kitchen, it shouldn’t be a problem.

Simple. Inexpensive. Single piece metal innards. Simply lever spring latch to fill. Screen is just a bunch of large holes (no fine screen to rust out and tear). Switch is simple toggle (no pushbutton to fail) with a light. It SHOULD last I hope. If it breaks in the next 5 years I’ll come back and say so and change it to one star. An appliance like this should last at least 5 years of daily use, my old one lasted over 10 but then again my clothes dryer served over 50 years until finally giving it up.

I have been wanting a larger kettle for a while. I wanted something that was large and that actually heated the water to a high temp. I’m happy with this one.

It doesn’t have “shelf appeal” but once I got it and set it up, it looks great. I thought it was going to look bulky and out of place, but it’s fine.

PROS:
— The base doesn’t take up a lot of room. I have mine sitting on the kitchen bar counter in the same place my smaller one was.
— Even when filled to the max line, it doesn’t take too long to heat up. I didn’t time it but other reviewers have and this is about the same.
–The lid opens wide enough that I can use almost anything – faucet, faucet sprayer, measuring cups, etc., to fill the kettle.
— The pour is not sloppy – which is important since the water gets so hot.
— With my ThermaPro food thermometer, the temp ran to over 212F right after boiling. This is just what I need for pour-over or French Press coffee.

There are no negatives so far. I do wish it had a “keep warm” function but that’s not too big of a deal. It’s important to me how appliances look in my space and this one fits right in.

I have previously used only Hamilton stainless electric kettle but they eventually wore out and stopped working. The newer Hamilton I bought has plastic cutouts to show the water level on both sides. I do not want that as I worry about leakage; it also shut off late and made the handle too hot to touch (returned). So I bought the Amazon Basics one (on sale) that only has plastic cutout on one side. Then I saw this Comfee unit that is completely made of stainless in one piece and no plastic cutout. I immediately bought 2 units. They turned out looking and working great. The heating element is concealed and it shuts off at the correct time with cool to the touch handle. It has built-in coarse strainer instead of the attached fine-mesh strainer that will be dissolved away over time. This Comfee model is just designed perfectly for its job. Will be buying one or two more for backups.
