If you have reasonable expectations, you won’t be disappointed. I got it because I was going to be living in a land without electricity where it is VERY VERY hot. I was literally in the Sahara desert. I obviously couldn’t bring a proper fridge but I figured that this would be better than nothing. Keep in mind that I was using this in 115+ F weather, so not exactly giving it an easy task. The verdict? Pretty impressive honestly. I could only use it in eco mode because I was only running off USB (performance was considerably better when plugged into an actual wall), and it wasn’t going to cool anything down to fridge cold. But it got it substantially colder than my “room temperature” and when it’s that hot, any step colder is a step in the right direction. It fared much better keeping already cold things cold. I am gonna say that a cold Coke stayed fairly cold 50 times longer than it would have sitting outside. Get it fairly full of cold stuff and it’s even better. Point being, it’s better at holding a cold temperature than it is dropping temperature, at least in USB-powered eco mode in violently hot desert conditions. Does better at both cooling and maintaining when plugged into the wall in normal human-range temperature. It is extremely light, and is not that bulky (I packed it full of underwear and socks for traveling, and it added very little volume and almost no weight in the context of a big backpackers pack). It is also extremely quiet. Like almost silent quiet. Like can’t hear it alone in the middle of the desert with no sound around quiet. My only complaint that’s actually its fault is its height. If it were 2 inchest taller, it could accomodate bottle of coke or a gatorade bottle or certain waterbottles that are just slightly too large for it, but that its splitting hairs, to be honest. Is it perfect? No. Is it quite a bit better than the alternatives that I know of? Absolutely.

Temperature: I originally bought this for my husband to keep his lunch and drinks cold in the office. Reading some of the reviews, I was afraid that it wouldn’t be cold enough, but the fridge we received is very cold (even colder than our regular fridge). It gets so cold that sometimes ice forms in the back of the inside of the fridge. It never got to a point where it froze our drinks even with the fridge plugged in for weeks at a time. However, the ice does melt when we unplug it and can drip water when transporting. We haven’t tried the warming feature yet.Portability: My husband shuffles between two offices, so the portability of the fridge (handle, lightweight) is quite handy. I just wish there was a way to lock the fridge so that if you are carrying the fridge when full, the door wont easily open and pour out all its contents.Size: The fridge fits 6 soda cans EXACTLY. The reason why I emphasize exactly is that the exact fit doesn’t allow for you to easily grip a can and remove it when filled with all 6 cans, especially from the bottom shelf. It’s not a problem, but an extra centimeter in height or width could improve it. This would also allow for you to fit the regular 500ml Poland Spring bottle (with the shelf removed) but the current size is just a smidge too short. We are settling with 8oz Poland Spring bottles instead (which are approximately the same size as a regular soda can). The 250ml Redbull can does not fit on the bottom shelf when the shelf is in place, but it does fit laying down on the top shelf. I’ve also found that the picture shown in the product description is a bit misleading. With 6 cans filled, the shelf on the door hinders the door from closing completely (as shown in the picture I uploaded).Noise: Some reviewers complained about the sound, but honestly, I don’t believe the fan is any louder than a laptop/computer fan. My husband works in a quiet office, and he says the noise is not even noticeable.Quality: I purchased a second one that we can use when traveling since it comes with a power cord for the car. Unfortunately, I believe the quality of the second one isn’t as great as the first one. The chrome “handle” has black spots on it, and the logo label looks a bit smudged.Overall, despite some minor flaws, I believe this was a great purchase and would highly recommend it. We wanted a mini fridge that keeps our drinks and food cold, and it does just that very well. My husband works in public health, and his coworker, who believes this is a great way to advocate for safe food keeping, immediately went online to purchase one for himself.UPDATE 14 months later: The fridge has been on the entire time and has been going strong, still keeping drinks nice and cool!

I bought this to keep by my vanity table to store skincare items that I like to keep cold. Without the middle shelf I’ve got more than a dozen sheet masks, three 1-2 ounce vials of serums/toner, an eye cream, and an eye serum roller in there.I’ve been using it for about two weeks now and it’s been working perfectly with everything staying super cold!I had the fridge running for about 5 hours while at work before putting anything in. The masks were already cold and the other items were room temp but were cold within an hour or two.I’ll be making an 8-hr drive in a couple of weeks and plan to use it for drinks. Will update review after seeing how it does in the car!
