Projector was easy to set up, and I love the remote and backpack carrier that came with it! Would definitely recommend!!

make sure you have someone in the area that understands tech to get you set up lol. and if your back ground isnt kinda smooth and which then i really suggest getting a projector screen. other than that this worked really well

I’m so happy I brought it for my kids and I they really love it and it’s easy to set up and put away and when I take it to my family house they love to watch movies on it and the quality on the projector is great .

This is a nice size projector. I plan to use this on Halloween to project movies for the trick or treaters.
I like the design overall. The remote will be necessary to auto focus. When I turned it on, the focus was all off but by reading the instructions and holding the proper buttons on the remote I was able to quickly focus this image. I was impressed at the sharpness and clarity once I did
Overall it seems nice and I like the design. Has a nice look and feel and I plan to ping a fire stick into this

900 lumens. Yeah, sure, okay.
Wait, 900 ANSI lumens? Oh, you’re serious.
If you want a sign that a projector seller is serious about the product they’re selling, it’s when they tell you the ANSI lumen rating of the projector, as opposed to some made up numbers that sound impressive, but really aren’t.
This DBPower projector came along at just the right time for me. I’m planning a Halloween event, and I need a bright projector to show movies, starting before it gets completely dark. So if this DBPower projector can outperform my Vizony projector, then it’ll be perfect for my Halloween setup.
Overall, I think DBPower sees this as being a higher tier projector, and this shows in the presentation, which is good, but has a couple quirks. The top of the projector is some kind of textured cloth with the button symbols printed onto it in textured rubber lettering. They included the slogan “Open your new vision” which I think they’d be better off removing. It gives away that whoever made that slogan is not a native English speaker.
As with other DBPower projectors I’ve looked at, this comes with its own carrying case, but this time they did something rather unique. It’s a backpack style carrying case. The projector’s not all that big, so this seems like a bit of an odd choice, but I can also see it being useful. You can carry the projector while keeping your hands free, and if you’re not using it to transport the projector, the backpack can fit a fair bit of stuff inside it, with the rigid foam walls protecting it.
I don’t have the equipment to measure ANSI lumens. However, I do have a Vizony RD830 projector set up in my living room, which advertises 800 ANSI lumens, and I’ve been pretty happy with that.
Well, it turns out that getting a brightness comparison with my Vizony projector was easy, as they both use the same GUI. So I turned on both at the same time, and set them up so I could see the icons and text next to each other. The DBPower is just a bit brighter.
Next I tested the most important parts for me: The built in media player, and Bluetooth connectivity. These will allow me to quickly set up the projector on Halloween, and output the sound to a Bluetooth receiver. Bluetooth works fine, and the media player will do what I need it to do. Notably, the media player supports MKV files, along with MP4. I did run into an audio format it didn’t like, but this won’t be an issue on Halloween because I’ll be encoding the video file it will be playing.
My Vizony projector does have a minor advantage over this projector. It has a sealed optical engine, whereas this projector has a filter that will need regular cleaning. Just something to keep in mind.
Other things to note is this projector has automatic keystone correction. This seems to work fine, if the projector is perfectly level. If it’s not, you’re better leaving this option off and adjusting it manually. Also, the throw distance is a little bit longer than the Vizony projector, which could be an issue in a small room.
Overall I would call this projector a good buy, with a few minor flaws that I can overlook given its price point.

Bought this to have a portable screen for the kids to watch their shows while Dad watches sports. They LOVE it. And even when I put it on a wall with multiple colors that’s not a flat surface the video quality and brightness is great. I was able to quickly hook a Chromecast to the HDMI and cast anything I want from my phone. Simple setup and even comes with a bag for when not football season.
