I bought this laptop literally 8 months after I bought a HP Pavilion 360 that was so loud and just could NOT handle basic tasks without getting hot. I was so disappointed that I vowed to never use a PC again. That laptop costs way too much to not make it a year. I already have an iPad Air 4, Apple Watch, iPhone and Apple TV’s, I figured that this would probably be a nice new change of pace. As a person who has never used a Mac, I can honestly say that for me personally it does take a lot of getting used to, but its a nice new change. I love everything about this laptop. Even typing is a lot easier and much more smooth and I can not even imagine how I was doing it before. I was at home watching tv and doing some homework and I noticed that my keyboard was lit and I LOVE that as well, no more having the light on all night to finish an assignment. It’s much speedier than my PC which had about the same specs as far as memory and the difference is huge. This laptop for being the most basic model blows my old PC out of the water. Maybe it’s the M1 chip but I can zoom and do other assignments for class without a skipping a beat. I can’t believe that I am just now making the switch. I think the only thing that I don’t like is figuring out how to do the simplest tasks. I have to YouTube how to do everything, but again, that’s only because I’ve always been a Windows fan. This laptop is so light, I almost forget that its in my backpack and have to remember not to be so rough with my backpack. My PC took a beating but I didn’t care because they always managed to still work, even after stepping on them. I’m not so sure about this one and I don’t want to find out. It was pretty easy to set up considering I didn’t transfer anything from my PC. I wanted it to be like brand new and to only have what I need on here. the battery life lasts me until I get of of work and it still has about 36% left and that’s from using Zoom the entire time and having the lighting pretty dim. All I can say it, it lasts a lot longer than my HP which would last me about 3 hours with Zoom before I had to charge. Basically, this was one of the best decisions I could have made and I hope this laptop will last me for years to come. Thank you Apple for such amazing products.

I recently got my hands on the Macbook Air M1 2020, and let me tell you, it’s a total game-changer! First off, this thing is super lightweight, making it a breeze to carry around. But don’t be fooled by its slim profile – it’s got some serious horsepower under the hood. In fact, it’s even more powerful than my previous Macbook Pro 2018, which had an i7 core and 16GB RAM. The speed and performance are off the charts! Now, let’s talk about the battery life. I’m blown away by how long it lasts on a single charge. I can easily get around 15 hours of usage before needing to plug it in again. It’s a game-changer for my productivity, especially when I’m on the move or working remotely. One thing that really surprised me is how quiet this thing is. There’s no fan, which means no annoying whirring sounds while I’m trying to concentrate. It’s perfect for late-night work sessions or quiet environments where you don’t want to disturb others. And let’s not forget the keyboard. Apple finally listened to its customers and ditched the butterfly design. The new keyboard feels so much more comfortable and responsive to type on. It’s a huge improvement, and I love the satisfying clicky feel with every keystroke. All in all, the Macbook Air M1 2020 is a real winner. It’s lightweight, powerful, and boasts an incredible battery life. Plus, the absence of a fan makes it a peaceful work companion. If you’re in the market for a new laptop, I highly recommend giving this one a shot. It’s a fantastic investment for anyone looking for a top-notch computing experience.

Let me start by saying that my family and I are HARD on products. 8 year-ago, my husband gifted me a new MacBook Pro. It took me a little bit to get acquainted with the OS but I quickly did. I shared that computer with my younger children (then aged 8 & 9). In these 8 years, our little laptop has seen a few states, a pandemic, dirty hands, a bunch of gaming websites, and been dropped more times than any of us are willing to admit. NEVER a virus or need for repair. I did replace a battery once and a few charging cords along the years (when the cats were young and bite-y)…but that has been it. My youngest child (now 16) had pretty much commandeered the laptop for the summer so I decided to buy a new laptop for myself as an early graduation present (I’m finishing nursing school in December). I didn’t even bother looking at anything other than the MacBook. Although I am a pragmatic person, this little MacBook Air is certainly attractive. Sleek, slender, and faster than lightning and screen is unbelievably clear. It does everything I need it to do and the charge lasts FOREVER. Here’s hoping I can get at least another 8 years out of this one.
