I purchased this for approximately $180 as an Amazon Warehouse/Refurbished deal, with “Like New” condition, and I’m happy with my purchase. The parcel came in a timely manner, and was as described – I even had the delightful privilege of peeling off the plastic that comes with new electronics.

I bought this to use as an additional monitor. My desktop already has what I call my “gaming monitor,” which is a 144hz TN panel, which also has freesync. It’s great for what it does – gaming – and as I have been getting more into streaming, with creating and editing pictures and video, I figured I would try having a second monitor. I did some research on the different panel types (TN, VA, and IPS) and their variants, with their strengths and weaknesses, and, when I saw this monitor, I figured I would pull the trigger. This monitor utilizes an SVA panel, which is an improvement on standard VA panel technology; it has the same rich color contrast, with even better viewing angles (meaning there is no “color shift” when you’re not looking at the monitor straight on). Samsung’s website advertises this product as “Freesync 2 HDR” which I will take at face value, the colors look good to me, though I have no equipment to measure the accuracy of them. Similarly, the brightness is good, and with the contrast the blacks do look black, and the white really pops.

I’ve had the monitor for several days now, and I’m very happy with my experience with it. I notice the difference in colors and contrast when watching shows or editing photos, and I still get the great, smooth experience that 144hz has to offer.

If I have one complaint, it is that the monitor has two freesync modes: “standard” and “ultimate”. When I select standard, it has a framerate ceiling of 85hz, while the ultimate allows up to the full 144hz, and, for some games, gave me noticeable “ghosting” issues. These are basically overdrive settings for the monitor to help you fine-tune your gaming experience, and I was kind of bummed to see that the “Standard” setting capped itself at 85hz – I am more disappointed by that than I am of the ghosting.

Very good quality for how affordable it is, it had a small bit of wobble but very slight

Works, super smooth, has displayport and not just hdmi. Way more smooth picture than my old 60hz monitors. With that said I would prefer the displayport port to be sticking straight out rather than down so it’s easier to grab cables, not so bad on good cables but cheap ones aren’t as robust on the connector. Doesn’t dim as far as I’d like but it’s ok and goes fairly bright. Viewing angles aren’t bad but not great (not so bad in this price bracket).

Movies won’t look better though, they’re all in 25 to 30hz and this screen is more than 4 times faster than that so games will look amazingly smooth (if your gpu can render that fast) but movies will look even more like crap on of off this screen. Basically you get used to everything looking buttery smooth on this screen so when you look at other screens or movies on any screen you realize how much these screens are awesome and how bad that low frame rate is. Fast monitors lead to spoiled eyes and that means everything else looks less good because this puts them all to shame.

I needed a quality budget gaming monitor with a known name for my Xbox Series X. I did some research and this had the least negative reviews, I was leaning towards the Pixio but seeing dead pixels and other issues with customer service I pulled the trigger on this Samsung CRG50 24”.
I had this monitor for a day and with over 5 hours on it and I was truly impressed with this 24” monitor.
With a very intuitive UI for adjustments it has several selections for the type of games you are playing and the color range is impressive.
The only drawback like most reviewers did on the 24” is the absence to mount this on a monitor arm/bracket like the 27”-32” has.
Since this should be a standard it was a big disappointment about this monitor.
I will follow up in 30 days to see how it holds up.
Initially I would recommend this monitor since the new generation of HDMI 2.1 are too costly this will hold you over till those new monitors come out and drop in price.

Alright I had this monitor for two months and been playing games on it and played a few movies on this great monitor solely on the Xbox Series X and no issues and this monitor is still working fine. No complaints at all.
If you are looking for a budget monitor from a big name company like Samsung I highly recommend this monitor for folks on a budget but still has the performance for the new gen consoles this is the monitor for you.

dead pixels appeared after less than 2 years of use. I am not a careless user, I take care of my stuff very well and I am surprised with what I got in hand now. I paid 500$ for this monitor to end up having dead pixels in it in less than 2 years. I will definitely stay away from Samsung for the next 5-10 years, unless if they show support and replace this monitor for me cuz I actually bought 2 of them

    Pros:

    1: Great for gaming.

    2: High refresh rate.

    3: Curved.

4: Perfect size for PC gaming.

    5: No delay.

    Cons:

1: No speaker/audio sequence for gaming (but there is a headphone jack).

2: Bad ghosting for most PC’s and excessive bluring.

3: It is not a true 144 Hz monitor, it caps at around 120 Hz and isn’t a true 144 Hz monitor, but the difference between 120 and 144 isn’t huge.

However I would totally recommend for newcomers to pc gaming/console gaming!!!
Just if you looking for speakers and everything just look for a different monitor.

Bought one off a friend a few months ago, had to come back and upgrade my other monitor. Worth the money for some great graphics, Gaming and Graphic Design is both my job and hobby. 10/10 you get what you pay for, highly recommend.

Nice looking colors I never tried a VA I guess this panel is a PVA panel by Samsung someone told me.
I played with IPS panels before but never tried a VA panel. The blacks can make a game kinda dark but the colors make up for it I like the run my monitors dark. The stand though is kinda the deal breaker for me I like to move my monitors around slide them around the stand just gets in the way if I do that. I put coaster or felt on the bottom of my monitors. I own a 1440P Dell gaming TN panel if this Samsung was 1440P it would be an Amazing Monitor. The cuved screen is nice it doesn’t bother me while gaming. Monitor has two HDMI ports and a display ports. Colors are where this monitor shine and the 1080P doesn’t look pixelated because it’s a pretty small monitor. Ghosting I tried Metro Exodus with my 2080RTX and I didn’t notice any ghosting or flicker but if someone was sensitive they probably would notice it. This is a Freesync but the 144hz monitor still works great with my Nvidia card maybe it will be Gsync compatible in a years time.

Update:.The power cable isn’t very sturdy it will fall out withe the slightest movement so I used one piece of gorilla tape to keep it in place taping it on the outside of the plug. It’s really too bad because I would like to purchase another.

The shipping was insanely fast and very well packaged, for the price of these monitors they are fantastic especially considering they are Samsung. I ordered two of them and could not be happier with everything all around!
