Never thought I’d use a blender as often as I do. I use this thing for so many things! I love grounding coffee beans in it. I love making smoothies with it. Love it so much that I just purchased the Vitamix immersion blender. Haven’t used it yet (just received it yesterday) but I can’t wait. Vitamix makes an awesome product!

I have a perfectly good blender: a Braun, not much used, from the 1980s. Fine for banana smoothies. But I now needed a more robust piece of equipment to puree meat dishes for someone suffering dysphagia. That meant blending seafood, chicken, turkey, hamburg, and the like (though I’ve not tried pork yet) with a variety of cream soups and sauces. The Vitamix met ever challenge so far. Yes you need to feed it liquid, bouillon say, in addition to the soup. Yes sometimes it made loud noises of effort, enough at one high speed to force a reduction or drive me from the kitchen. Once the unit just stopped: the chewing effort too much – but 45 minutes later, it reset, so plus more fluid, and it performed well. Eventually it transformed everything into a smooth paste. In short it has proved very able. I can manufacture all sorts of protein dishes to suit the palate of a distressed swallower. Oh and it does make a great banana smoothie as well. So it’s expensive, I think overpriced. Not perfect: it has to be closely monitored to ensure it doesn’t get overloaded. But on the whole it does a fine job. It met my needs admirably.

We have an larger, older Vitamix blender that we bought over 10 years ago and is still going strong! This Vitamix blender is smaller and really nice for making frozen berry smoothie treats. It’s also great for purees needed for recipes, but certainly not limited to just that. You can even make soup in one of these, although we haven’t tried that yet. Here’s my favorite selling point – made in the USA! These also carry a long warrantee (5 yrs).

If Dairy Queen trusts Vitamix to use in their stores to make their products, I think you can trust them, too. The Propel Series 510 Blender is their newest model. It has a dedicated settings for hot soup, frozen desserts and smoothies. The laser-cut blade pulverizes anything you put in it, like frozen items, such as ice. Great for homemade peanut butter!. This blender has a 2-hp engine — how many horsepower do the other brands have? I think you already know the answer to that. I’m not going to mince words, this is a major appliance requiring a serious investment — but it’s an investment you’ll only have to make once. I highly recommend this item.

This blender does a fantastic job at blending food! I use it every day to make a fruit smoothie and I do not take the peel off and I would never know that if it wasn’t me preparing the smoothie. The other part that amazes me is that I use strawberries in the blend and I hardly feel any of the seeds.

Love this product. It was expensive so reluctant to order one. So glad I did as it works amazing. A great product and I was able to register it easily online too. Well worth buying and it arrived quickly. I bought the one with a smaller container after reading the reviews about buying a Vitamix. Most places only sell the larger container size.

Nice mixer, I am returning it because I wanted to use for making fresh veggie juice but they reccomend blanching hard veggies first. That doesn’t work for fresh raw juice. Keep it in mind if it helps.

This is a brand new model. Best blender I’ve ever used. I’ve been using Vitamix’s for 30 years.

First it blends better and faster.
That’s no small thing because if you want to blend a variety of fruits and nut together for instance, you get it blended all the way to smooth in a few seconds and it only warms to room temperature instead of getting hot.

Second, it’s certainly not quiet but its quieter.
More importantly they’ve changed the pitch.
The pitch is lower, even under full power and doesn’t hurt your ears. This is a big deal.

It’s also easier to clean unless you just stick it in a dishwasher and then what’s the difference.

Note that the 510 is 48 ounces not 64 ounces.

I hesitated because of the price; I don’t need a bunch of settings. Now I am so glad I bought this. This is what I think every time I use it and I use every day mainly for health drinks and smoothies.

I love this so much I could not recommend it enough.
