I have to disagree with the vendor’s statement that these didn’t affect the flavor profile. They do, and in a good way. I find that I get a better cup even with less than completely fresh coffee. I use a coarser grind than usual and somehow it’s better. Sustainability was my goal, but good flavor was an unexpected bonus. It’s well worth the small extra step of rinsing the filters.

I like the quality of the product and the fact it’s reusable but it doesn’t work with my chemex. As soon as you pour water over the coffee grounds it wants to fall into the bottom of the chemex.

I recently decided to try out the XFasten Hemp Reusable Coffee Filters No 2, and I must say, they have made a noticeable difference in my daily coffee routine. As someone who values sustainability and flavor, these filters have been a game-changer.

First off, let me tell you about their performance. These filters do an excellent job of removing those annoying sediments and fine grounds that used to end up in my cup. Now, I can enjoy a smooth and flavorful cup of coffee without any unwanted bits floating around. The natural oils and flavors of the coffee pass through the filter, giving it a rich taste that I love.

One thing I really appreciate about these filters is their durability. They are made from organic hemp cloth fabric, and you can feel the quality in every stitch. Unlike flimsy cotton filters, these ones are built to last. I’ve been using them for a while now, and they haven’t shown any signs of fraying or tearing.

Cleaning these filters is a breeze. They have just the right amount of porosity, making it easy to rinse off the coffee grounds with minimal water. Plus, they are odorless, so there’s no lingering smell after cleaning. It’s a simple and hassle-free process that fits perfectly into my busy mornings.

One of the main reasons I opted for these reusable filters was their sustainability. I wanted to reduce my paper waste and make a more eco-friendly choice. With the XFasten Hemp Reusable Coffee Filters, I no longer need to buy disposable paper filters. It’s a small step, but every little bit counts.

Now, I do have one small concern. The cone shape of these filters might not fit all coffee makers perfectly. Although they claim compatibility with various brands and pour-over coffee makers, it’s important to double-check if they match your specific model. I had to make sure they fit snugly in my coffee maker before brewing.

All in all, I’m delighted with my decision to switch to the XFasten Hemp Reusable Coffee Filters No 2. They have improved the flavor of my coffee and made my morning routine more sustainable. If you’re looking for a reliable and eco-friendly alternative to paper filters, these filters are definitely worth considering. Just remember to check compatibility with your coffee maker, and you’ll be on your way to enjoying a cleaner and more flavorful cup of joe.

These filters have a lot of trouble with bubbling. It seems they are just a little too short and a little too flimsy.
They also allow more grounds through than I would’ve expected. It’s only the smallest grounds but it’s not ideal.
Overall they’re fine for a cheap option, but I’d recommend going with the coffee sock for just a little more.

The price of #2 filters has skyrocketed over the past 2 years. They’re now about a dime apiece. Not only are you saving money your reducing waste if that’s your thing.

These hemp coffee filters ship in a stiff cardboard envelope to help preserve their shape during shipping. I couldn’t find any instructions inside the box for cleaning and maintaining them, so I just gave one a good rinse. I probably should have let it soak for a while longer to clean off anything on them. They have a bit of a smell I hope will wash out after a bit.

The fabric is stitched along the seam and across the edges, and should hold up for a while, but the edges have a frayed look above the stitching that I don’t like, and I think I would prefer if the fabric was just a touch thicker and the weave denser. It will take the better part of a year to see if they actually hold up for 200’ish uses.

After my initial rinse, it kind of crinkled up, it could take some work to shape it in the dripper if your picky about channeling. The water flowed though faster than I typically get in this dripper with paper filters, so if you don’t like waiting long during pour overs, that may be a plus.

than paper. I didnt see any grinds in the coffee though so I think thats an improvement over my metal filters. I might be able to go a notch or two finer and see if I can slow the flow and still get.
The filter soaks up and wicks hot water around, so you will want to give it some time to cool off before dumping the grinds and cleaning up. On my coarser grind, the coffee was fairly easy to clean out.

The coffee it made was murky looking, maybe a touch weak, but not bad tasting. It was very similar to what I get when using metal filters or French press coffee. For dietary/cholesterol reasons I wont be using these every day, though every now and then I might use them when I want the flavors that paper filters strip out. If you happen to like French press and other metal filtered coffee, these may be worth checking out, otherwise they are more of a novelty.
