Works good for gaming, is ok for productivity work (across the board improvement from the R5 3600x i was running before though). Wish it was unlocked though.

Just got this delivered yesterday and got to tinker with it this morning. You’ll notice in the first picture that I’m using an x370 motherboard. Yes, it works just fine after a BIOS update. The second picture shows the temperatures at idle, and after a ten minute all core workload, at stock settings. Temperatures dropped eight degrees on load with a modest -20 undervolt on all cores. The third picture was taken during a gaming benchmark, to show gaming temperatures.
Seems to gain not as much from an undervolt as the 5800x3d, which for me boosted 300mhz higher. This cpu reached within 50mhz of its advertised boost clock with stock settings anyway, the undervolt just keeps it there. All in all, a fantastic CPU. More efficient than the 5800x3d, probably with almost all of its performance gains(havent seen any reviews from any reviewers yet).

Was considering either a Ryzen 7 5700X3D or 5800X3D for gaming. This one is a bit cheaper than the 5800X3D, has close to the same performace, and a lot cheaper then switching to the 7000 series CPU’s. Will keep your AM4 gaming system working great for some time before having to upgrade.

Awesome Cpu upgrade low temps and perfect for Gaming

Muito bom o desempenho, nao esquenta, longevidade vai além do previsto.

Great value. Slightly behind 5800x3d in performance, makes up for it in value. Very easy to cool, never goes above 70°C with an arctic liquid freezer ii 280, in an NZXT H510 (case which leaves alot to be desired for temps)

Great for gaming not so much for workstation tasks. but i dont do that so its perfect for my gaming can run anything on ultra The 100mb l3 cache is amazing everything runs smooth

I’ve replaced my ailing and aging ryzen 5 2600 with this one to give my old computer a few more years. this CPU is great. BUT in very heavy benchmark it always reaches above 90C which necessitates thermal throttling (can check the reduction in TDP And clock multiplier) and I have to add, I have a water-cooling loop! though in real life, I never saw CPU temp to reach even 80C.

This chip is a win. Coming from a 3700x to this, I’m seeing a significant jump in FPS in my games, especially Tarkov. Very happy so far. Temps haven’t gone over 65c with a Peerless Assassin 120 cooler on it. Good work AMD!

AMD made a awesome gaming CPU for people on a budget. Paired with a 2070 Super it crushes 1080p at ultra settings with fps averages of 200. Highly recommend.
