An unexpected challenge in installing this garburetor was locating its outlet into the exit pipe underneath my sink. This was difficult but doable. The outlet was at the limit of where I could place it to match up, but it did match, fit and work. I really didn’t want to install this myself, but it became impossible to get a new garburetor in my house and an installation person at the same time. Although there appears to be a very large space underneath my sink in which to install a garburetor, because of peculiarities in dimensions I had to buy only a very small unit, namely this Badger unit. It seems to be easier to install than most garbage disposals, and one reason for this is smaller size and lighter weight. It is not quiet it is not the loudest disposal I’ve owned, and it works properly and for this I am exquisitely grateful.

This is my second unit installation as I bought this unit back in November and installed it in my house. It has been working like a dream. The second unit I recommended for my neighbor and even bought it for him. I subsequently installed the unit in his house and both installations were quite easy if you follow the directions completely. The directions could be better as you have to jump around and work your way through foreign languages interspersed in the English directions. Plus there are several sections you may need to skip over, so follow closely. The unit has been functioning very well for our household of three.

I replaced my older disposal with this unit, this unit is smaller in size giving me more space under the sink and much quieter, great value and plug and play, Be sure to read thru the instructions completly, The install is simple, it took about a hour to remove the old unit and install this one, I only needed plumbers putty for the sink to flange seal, there is a plug of plastic that must be removed for instalation of a diswasher drain hose. I culd see this being missed if the instructions are not read before install, only tool needed was a screwdriver and a spanner. Great product and trusted brand.
