Worth every penny (250 + change) I paid for it. Without dropping names, let me emphasize that I have been exposed to more than my fair share of platforms and products when it comes to ‘computing’ – of all shapes, sizes and personalities. Where this thing shines,purely from an ‘OS’ perspective, over a Windows, Mac or Linux device (or tablets of various provenance) is its absolute ease of use, rock steadiness, and unflinching reliability. It does not need to be coddled, cared for, looked after, managed or protected (in a physical and electrical utility sense NOT from an internet security standpoint). You can simply throw it, toss it, shut it, shove it or kick it, and there it is whenever you need it ready in nano-seconds, always logged into your google account, the moment you open the lid. All apps and programs load quickly, more than decent screen, keyboard, speakers, touch pad, and can upgrade to Android mode (and be readied for playstore and apps – with quite a few exceptions I must say – Google Voice for example is non-functional on this one). Battery runs for a day-and-a-half without issues. I do more than casual web-browsing on this thing. Indeed, I cannot do more than a bunch of things I need to for my livelihood on this guy – but it doesn’t matter. If you have an office/work provided MS Office account, you can use a good number of Office products for free (or buy one of the cheaper ‘MS Office’ subscriptions).

ONE CON – in tablet mode (when the screen is flipped around) the touch mode gets annoyingly buggy – not a deal breaker for me.

I needed something smaller than my laptop to write papers and use for miscellaneous tasks. It’s the perfect size and weight. I don’t understand why some people say it’s a bit heavy. It’s not that bad. Overall, this chrome book is solid. The keys are soft and quiet while typing, the touchscreen and web browsing are flawless. There is no lag while using the touchscreen and web browsing is incredibly fast. I especially love that it was easy to set up right out of the box. It only asked for my gmail account info and voila, ready to use. And let me say, this baby works much faster than my laptop. I am so impressed! Lastly, I love the google security without having to pay for Norton, unlike with my laptop. I feel safe at all times while using my chrome book. I would recommend this chrome book to anyone who wants to save a few pennies. My only slight issues (as if I could find any!) Are that everything is web based but I’m getting used to it. There’s also the fact that you can’t customize the theme, but you do have the option to change your background. Those are slight issues that I’m perfectly fine with. I would purchase this chrome book all over again!!

Everything works great and you DO NOT have to switch to Beta to run the Google play store. You just need to update. Google how to do it. I seriously cannot find anything wrong with this computer. Good sound. Touch screen works great. I also like that it’s rather heavy for a laptop because it seems more sturdy. So glad I bought it on Amazon Prime day.

Update 12/24/19: This laptop died after less than a year and a half of normal use. I have never had a laptop do this and I will never again buy another Lenovo product. I knew I should have stuck with Acer or Samsung.
