I just changed our filter for the second time in almost a year (see photo). The machine tells you when to change. It’s super easy to do and filters can be purchased in Amazon. It looks like it’s working! I originally got this air purifier when we moved to this apartment for my twins nursery because 1. carpets 2. previous tenants 3. allergies. The room has no smell. We vacuum often. I run the air purifier 24/7 on level 2. I don’t find the sound bothersome and neither do my 17 month old twins.

Of course, this fits the Levoit purifier (core 300) perfectly and I have to say that I’d purchased a less expensive “substitute” prior and came back to “Levoit”. I should have spent the little extra in the first place because THIS filter actually does as advertised. Takes a short while to pull odours out of the air and I can attest to the fact that yes, they DO pull all sorts of dust and other impurities out as well.
As a “hint”: the filters are also worth the investment because Levoit makes them sturdier so they can be vacuumed regularly and they don’t fall apart. I have 2 purifiers and this filter replaces the original that came with one purifier that I bought almost a year ago. Maintenance is easy and so worth the effort. And seeing the lesser filter pull apart so easily, if you’re in any doubt, stick with Levoit.

Replacement filter was easy to install. We had our air purifier for a few years now and it’s actually our first time replacing it 😅 whenever it would get dirty, we would vacuum out all the dust. If you do this regularly enough, the filter can last a long time. This last time, however, we noticed such a decrease in performance level and knew it was finally time to replace the filter. It’s a bit expensive but seeing all the dust it collects tells me what it’s money well invested.

I’ve purchased this product before and I’m never disappointed. The filtration is first rate and it can be cleaned to extend its useful life although performance will fall off. The machine it goes with is first rate as well.
