I haven’t enjoyed a purchase of any kind as much as I enjoy this soundbar. It is exactly what I was hoping for when I sought to replace my old soundbar. The ai sound feature seems to work well in adjusting sound levels based on what you are watching. But, you can fine tune the sound profile to your liking.
If you own or plan to own a LG OLED TV, the soundbar includes a high quality stand that affixes the soundbar and tv together while elevating the TV above the Soundbar.
I also ordered the rear speakers which oddly connect to a wireless hub with speaker wire. The rears are a nice add on but the cost/benefit is much lower than the soundbar and don’t seem to be of equal quality.

The music reproduction is very “bright”. The sliders for bass or treble have little if any effect. There is no adjustment for midrange.
It works fine and and of course is a big improvement over the TV. I have not used this with DT-X or Dolby Digital

This is billed as a 3.1 system. It is only 3.1 if your are decoding DTX or Dolby Atmos. It will connect to your phone wirelessly to use the LG App but will not stream multi room audio. The only compatible speakers are LG SQ8. They aren’t really wireless. They have a receiver that gets a signal from the sound bar wirelessly but you run speaker wire from the reciever to the speakers. Having checked with LG There are no wireless speakers available.

Sounds amazing combined with the LG C3 TV. The Wow Orchestra creates a harmonious and rich sound from both the TV and soundbar. Bass from subwoofer is more than plentiful and I had to turn it down a little cause it packs a punch and I have to be considerate towards my neighbors..best decision ever..

I do not consider myself to be a sound connoisseur. However, I am an audiophile and am able to appreciate a good sound system from a bad one. I bought the LG SC95 because I purchased an LG OLED C3 TV and, all the hoopla by LG that the SC95 is “perfectly matched” to the C3 OLED TV. I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. On a spectrum of good to bad, this system falls closer to the bad ones.
In my very honest opinion, this was not money well spent because the original output from the TV only is just as good as the output when these speakers are attached. In LG verbiage, this is called “Orchestra” mode – output comes from both the TV and the SC95. I have not been able to appreciate any significant difference between “TV only” and “Orchestra” mode. Which really says a lot about what this sound system contributes. On the other hand, I have experienced Bose and B&O systems where you are truly immersed in the sound when the system is putting out the sound!
The whole “upfiring speakers” really means nothing – just that they oriented the speakers upwards instead of horizontally at you. I think the latter would have been better rather than trying to take advantage of the acoustics of the room the person is in.
After mounting, and setting everything up, I do not have the time or energy to take down the TV and disconnect this system for a return. And I think this works in favor of LG and against the customer.

Paired the sound bar with my 55” C3. Set up was easy. It’s a 2 person job. Sound is great. There’s not many instructions or online resources for the sound settings but after playing with it a little, the sound is good. To me the bass sounds good, to loud for my wife.
