Motorola makes awesome 2 way radios, and has for as long as I can remember. These are no different. They work miles away. I mean, what’s there to review? They’re waterproof? They have long lasting batteries? They’re lightweight & rugged? What am I going to say that they don’t already say for themselves? Push to talk? They come with a headset with controls! They have integrated lights! They sound great. Comes in a nice zippered carrying case. These are going in my Justin Case (more professionally organized bugout bag). Just buy them already, if you’re in an emergency these will come in handy. Or if you just want to use them for shenanigans you can do that too! Great product Motorola!

Okay. This time I received green walkie-talkies instead of orange ones, so I’ll have to return them since most of my equipment is orange. But it’s not a problem. I’m confident everything will be fine next time, and I’ll get my orange walkie-talkies. However, I want to say that these are the best walkie-talkies on the market with up to two watts of power that I’ve ever encountered. I once used the first generation of these walkie-talkies on a hike. They have a very durable waterproof casing, an incredibly high-quality and loud speaker, well-thought-out, clear, and intuitive controls, as well as a built-in flashlight, which is better to have in emergencies and beyond. The convenient case is really handy for transportation, so you won’t have to search for where you threw your walkie-talkies in the car. I highly recommend buying them. I trust these walkie-talkies for my hikes within reasonable limits, of course. Take care of yourself and the people around you.

This brand is well known for producing these types of products so it didnt surprise me that its 100% perfect for what its designed for. I go kayaking down rivers a lot and this setup is perfect for me. The best aspect for me is the weight. It seriously is so lightweight you forget its even hanging on your pants. It weighs less than most of my pocket folding knives. Its insanely lightweight. I live 7 miles in from the beach and was able to talk with my wife at home standing on the waters edge no problem at all. Super clear. It floats so well most of the housing sits above the water. Also because of its very low weight. The rechargable batteries work very well and its nice that they give you a second set. The headphones also have a mic and button that you can use to function all of the communications. 100% perfect design for water sports or just outdoors activities in general. Very very rugged. Some people say the sound quality isnt yhe best on these but i found the sound quality to be perfect. The only cons i found arent really flaws but my personal opinions. I wish the antennas were removable for use in bug out bags although they are very strong antennas and you probably wont have any issues. Also i noticed the first half second when you push the talk button gets cut off a bit but its so minor it wont ever cause a problem. Other than that these are amazing and work extremely well!!!

I was impressed with how nice this kit is. It comes with 4 battery packs instead of the 2 that are required. I really like the fact that you can use standard AA batteries if necessary.
The belt clip is removable and has a second very nice feature. It has a built in whistle. This is something I have never seen built into a belt clip but it is a great idea.
The radios came with all of the tone options off as default which is perfect to make sure it is compatible out of the package with other manufactures.
The dual push to talk PTT buttons allow you to select high power or low power without going through menu settings.
The instructions are very clear and well organized to find what you need when you need it.
Overall this is a well thought out kit FRS that is well packaged and has a lot of features. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is due to the price. Some of the extra features are nice but there are a few other less expensive options be it not as well packaged.

It’s sad to say that this is useless that one of them doesn’t work.
I opened the box to find a nice hard case, 2 radios, 2 earphones with mic, 2 clips with whistle, 2 USB-C cables for charging and 4 packs of batteries. First impression is great. This is obviously a quality 2 way radios just the way it looks and everything that’s in the package. Especially because it’s made by Motorola. I unscrew the back of one and install the battery pack. It comes right on. The battery is a little low. So I charge it. The lights come on, everything seems good. I do the same thing to the second one and it didn’t come on at all. I changed the battery packs and even tried regular AA batteries and no luck. It doesn’t work. I charged all the battery packs with the other one and try them in the one that’s not turning on and it makes no difference. Nothing is working. So now I have a pair that is useless. Can’t use 1 radio. The whole pack is useless. I called Motorola and they’re no help. I don’t even think these have any warranties. So if it doesn’t work, there’s no luck. Amazon will take returns and might replace it for you. But not Motorola. I was excited and hoped that I could use it. I don’t want to give it 1 star because of the quality and everything you get in the pack. I guess I just got one that’s defective. Hopefully that’s not the case for all of them.

Really great radios. I’m impressed with the customization options – channels, sub channels, alarms, weather, headphones, flashlight, etc. Very easy to program and pair. Instructions are included and very easy to follow. Comes with headphones, spare batteries, charging cables, belt clips, and really nice case. Waterproofing is at one meter for 30 mins, which is plenty if it accidental is dropped in water. The auto light in water and float feature is also great. Range is pretty good, we mostly use in the woods or over open water.
