This AP can be optionally managed remotely from NETGEAR Insight.
There is subscription fee for Insight. so i decided to just skip that.
But the AP comes with Local webportal (standalone access point mode)
that allows all the features to be configured and setup.
My network :
ISP==homeRouter—–ethernetcable—–WAX605 in a room with 12VDC power.
Setup :
I found the WAX605 IP address on homerouter, logged into the AP using that IP address.
Configured the same SSID and password as in home-router to extend the same WiFi. I can seamlessly roam as the WiFi network name and password is same. no more dead-spots in the home.
Coverage :
The signal is good area it is placed.
The unit comes with mounting kit to put it on a wall near to ethernet cable outlet in the room.
