  • 4K Ultra HD & 5X Optical Zoom & 123° Wide Angle: The varifocal lens allows you to 5X zoom in on the distant object without compromising the 8MP resolution. Cover almost every angle with the built-in wide 123° viewing angle (H: 105°, D: 123°), allowing you to keep an eye on what matters most.
  • Human/Vehicle Detection with Smart Alerts: This 811A PoE IP camera can identify people and vehicles in terms of their shapes, which minimizes unnecessary alarms such as animals or shadows. It can also specify the type of detection when sending motion alerts to you. You can know what happened by just glancing at the phone screen.
  • Full Color Night Vision with Spotlights: This 4K outdoor camera enables you to view clear images with brilliant color in live video streaming and playback. Once an intruder is detected, the camera’s spotlights and siren will be triggered to warn off the would-be criminal. You could also manually activate the spotlights to stop the crime before it happens.
  • Time-Lapse Videos and Multiple Recording Options: With time-lapse videos, you can keep tracking your 3D printing, see the whole construction process in a few minutes, or capture beautiful views from sunrise to sunset. Time-lapse Videos or Recording Videos can both be saved on a microSD card (Up to 256GB, Not included), Reolink NVR, or FTP server. No hidden fee will be charged, and no extra subscription will be needed for multiple recording options.
  • Faster and Simplified PoE Installation: Thanks to the power over Ethernet (PoE) technology, this outdoor bullet camera can transmit videos and get power via only one network cable. You can install this security camera quickly and easily for a reliable connection. (No Power Adapter Included)

Spent the last 3 days emailing Reolink tech support. They confirmed that this camera has a firmware problem with no updates available. The Smart Detection for vehicle, persons, and pets does not work especially at night. If a vehicle is parked in my driveway it will stop looking/ detecting people. I would not purchase this camera.

Worked reasonably well, for about a week. Then it drops off blue iris and when I go to check on it, I can hear it chime every 15 to 30 seconds, indicating a reset. Nothing I could do would make it stop forcibly resetting. I tried a different poe power supply, a different switch, always with constant resetting.

    現場の監視カメラとして使用しています。画質も良くズームもスムースです。各種設定も日本語でわかりやすく、専用のアプリを使用すると、デジタルズームもつかえます。雪の降るような環境でも結露しませんでした。

I installed this camera as I had space in my NVR and already had a few of these on my property. I can tout enough how good they are in the day. At night, its pretty clear as well, but don’t expect to view faces or license plates. I’m able to turn off IR and night vision and it pretty much looks like daytime when viewing these cameras at night due to my soft outdoor lighting.

The only gripe I have with these and all Reolink cameras in general is there is heavy ghosting at night when viewing moving objects. Its good for getting a general idea of whats going on, but thats about it.

Let me start by saying I have several Reolink 810 cameras currently on my house and they work fine.

    Now for the RLC-811 review

    The good
    1. The overall video quality and night vision are superior to the current RLC-810 cameras I am using. And the zoom feature is nice.
    2. The spotlight is bright and produces enough light for good color night vision.
    3. The construction seems solid. It’s twice the size of the 810 model.

Now for what the real issue is with the RLC-811A
And that is the cameras AI.
1.The camera I received completely refuses to recognize human movement as such and therefore won’t trigger the spotlight at night.
    2. It constantly and I mean all day long triggers car alerts for all the parked cars in front of the house. And not for actual moving cars.
    3. It only really wants to record everything a general movement not under the correct category’s.
My playback option is just a solid day of false alerts.

I have been in contact with their customer support but ultimate they weren’t any help. As expected they asked me to change settings around. And adjust the camera position and angle. None of this helped. And they told me that a replacement camera probably wouldn’t fix my issues.

As I said before I had a RLC-810 in the exact place that I have the 811 in and I never had any of these issues. So it is definitely an issue associated to the RLC-811A.

The current RLC-811A is a new hardware model from the previous generation and as such there are no firmware updates available as of yet to fix any of these issues.

I might order another 811 just to see if I got a bad camera. If I do I will update this review with any more information. As it currently stands, until they fix these issues I cannot recommend this model camera.

These cameras look good and feel well made but they have a high failure rate. The features are good and picture quality is good. I thought at first the failure was due to the cameras being outside but now one on the inside has stopped working. I have had other systems in the past 20 years and have never had this much failure. These Reolink cameras are replacing an old laView system that seldom ever had an issue. I went with the Reolink mainly because they are compatible with Blue Iris software.
I will say that the cameras that are still working are really good.

Listen to all of the negative reviews online, they are mostly all accurate.
These cameras do not give you what they are advertised to give you. Sure, they work most of the time, but are not 4k cameras.
They will give you nothing but headaches with nvr software. And every knowledgeable up camera person, and even Blue Iris, will tell you they have issues.
If you want a simple plug and play system with average resolution and subpar motion and vehicle detection- and are using their nvr- I guess you can try.

Anything else, believe me, spend a few extra bucks and get an annke, dahua, or hikvision.
Your stress level will thank you.

After going back and forth with their tech support for a week, with them offering zero assistance other than to turn down the resolution so the cameras work, I sent them back and got annke nc800.
So much better. So much easier. Such better quality.

And the company knows it isnt providing what is advertised. But they try to get you to keep the cameras long enough to bypass the return window.

Please dont fall for it. You will spend time and money only to be massively aggravated.

Purchased this camera as a test for a security system. I had no intention of using the Reolink NVR. However, this camera advertises and has RTSP and ONVIF support in the camera but none of it works. It was disabled out of the box. Enabling opens the ports, but there is no rstp stream to connect and nothing appears to be listening on the ONVIF port.

It works via a webpage, and maybe with their NVR, but it does not work as an RTSP stream for other systems. Ended up ordering the NVR for use with the camera.

I like how easy it connects to Home Assistant and Frigate. I don’t understand why not more companies makes it as easy.

Great picture day or night but it’s a very large camera and hard to make it invisible for use as a security camera.
