Nice and reliable product. Very silent

I’m using this 650w Seasonice SFX for a SFF living room PC build in a Silverstone Sugo 16 case.
For initial testing, I hooked this up to my main PC (running a 3080 ti), and overclocked the gpu so that total system power draw was 630w. I ran it for 20 minutes with no issue and I eventually got bored. I was satisfied it could handle anything I would use in the SFF PC (would be much lower power draw). The fan made noise, but at 630w, it was impossible to hear over the rest of the cpu and gpu fans anyway. At reasonable power levels, the fan is essentially inaudible.
I’ve switched it over and have been gaming on it for several weeks at around 300w or so. Works perfectly, and I picked it up on a good sale.
Overall: quiet, reliable, lots of connectors. Would purchase again.

I Love SeaSonic but this unit was not it. The units fit, finish and feel was nice, to be expected of seasonic. No coil whine but the fan curve was really bad and erratic. My system would be at idle but the fan would be going at 90%. It was random. I will continue to buy my PSUās from seasonic and maybe I just got a bad one.
Seasonic fix the fan curve on this 750w SFX unit.
Please and thanks

Purchased power supply from Amazon on March 24th and upon receiving the rest of the components to complete the build the power supply was found to be bad out of the box on May 18th. Unfortunately this was not discovered until after Amazons return window which means i had to work with seasonic to get support. If you go to the link provided by Amazon for manufacture support you are wasting your time. I still have not received a response.

Overall I really like this power supply. There is no coil wine, the included cables are premium and around the right length for me in a dan a4 h20. My only gripe is related to the noise, however it is not as bad as another review states for me
At idle, the fan is off or inaudible. I have never had the fan randomly spin up while idling or something. Under moderate tasks and above however, the fan will come on. The biggest issue seems to be that the fan only chooses 2 different speeds to run at most of the time under load, both of which are higher settings (maybe 70% and 100%). This is strange because you can hear the fan gradually increase through multiple speed presets, though it never seems to use them. Under high load, the fan will cycle between these 2 pre determined fan speeds with no in betweens every few minutes. It is not very distracting because the fan ramps quite slowly (around 10 seconds from idle to full), but still noticeable. If all other components of your pc are quiet and you don’t use headphones, or are sensitive to gradual periodic noise changes, this may be more bothersome. I figure it wont bother the majority of people, especially headphone users (me).
The noise and pitch of the fan at full speed is comparable to my evga 3070 xc ultra fans at full speed. If the gpu is not getting that stressed, or if the gpu fans are not at full tilt, the psu becomes the loudest component of my system. The fan is not really loud, but you can definitely tell when it comes on and off. The pitch is on the lower end, it doesn’t have a higher pitch “scream” like laptop fans or other high rpm fans. There is almost no airflow noise with the psu, most of the fan noise seems to be from the actual motor.
I have no issues with this unit other than the fact that the fan can’t find a happy medium under load, hence 4 stars.

do not buy, would be an alright psu if it wasnt for its horrible flaws, fan zero rpm mode is very well implemented and I’m a fan of the clean look and affordable/competitive price. I did experience a few system shut offs just randomly at the beginning that has seemed to fade(maybe it was just luck/lack thereof). But THE WORST PART OF THIS PSU IS THE COIL WHINE. THE COIL WHINE IS SO BAD NO MATTER THE CIRCUMSTANCES. I tried troubleshooting but that did not provide any benefit. On paper it seems to be a pretty ok psu especially for the price, that is of course if you can stand THE WORST COIL WHINE EVER EXPERIENCED. The coil whine is so horrible I am returning it. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT THE COIL WHINE IS SO HORRIBLY LOUD.

I mistakenly ordered a Seasonic PSU that was not an ATX size format (my bad). That however was not the problem. The CPU cable was not in the box and it caused me to lose a day trying to hook it up. The power supply came with a very nice adapter plate with which to mount it in an ATX size case.
It should be said here that this unit was purchased to replace a 14 year old Seasonic which finally quit, costing me $4.29 per year of ownership. I was sold on Seasonic. I tried using the cable from the old unit for the CPU but Seasonic in their absolutely infinite wisdom changed their PSU so that old cables don’t fit.
I can’t really rate noise level because I couldn’t get it running.
The new flat ribbon style cables are stiffer in my opinion and much harder to work with. I do not like them. Air flow isn’t that important to me.
Side notes: I contacted Seasonic to try and get some help, their last contact with me was please send some pictures which I may do but it would have been simpler and would have saved everybody time to just have dropped a new cable in the mail at my expense.
The 24pin cable did need a short extension cable.
In my opinion the PSU itself and the accompanying cables are poorly marked. Not at all what I expected from Seasonic after my first experience.

If you are planning on building a regular ATX machine, do not buy this product. It is too small to fit and the cables are WAY TOO SHORT. I couldn’t plug the motherboard, even if I went into a straight line without trying to hide any cables.

It was my first Seasonic product and my last, it didn’t work out for me unfortunately. After laboring assiduously to replace the cables and power supply in my Sugo 16, with what I thought would be a quieter power supply, I began to sense, to my shock, a very loud and irritating coil whine ! (well, when is coil noise not hurtful to the senses..). If we rule out bad design and assume that I just got a bad unit, it’s still disappointing, to say the least, for their quality control to let this pass through. The good thing was that it made me appreciate my previous power supply, whose fan I now find quite pleasant.
