Exactly as described and amazing length of 25 feet. Perfect for my needs since I wanted something safer than using an extension cord (16 or 18 AWG). This is built using 14 AWG wires inside the cable. Wish it was using 12 AWG but still definitely gets 5 stars.

We needed a slim power strip to use for our new TV, DVD, Apple TV, Security DVD Player, and Soundbar. So we found this one that fit the bill. It is narrow and long and has lots of outlets (7) that plenty for what we needed. We are thrilled that it doesn’t have a bright glaring green light like the last huge one we had did. It doesn’t even show when the TV is on in the dark! YES! Home theater is setup.

This has saved my life. My job send me a power strip to connect all my monitors. My puppy decided to play with it and he ate it. I had no time to call my employer and ask for a new one. I had to get one from Amazon and so far it has work as good as the one they send. Great price and good quality.

I use transformers, and power strips from Tripp Lite. I “believe” my computer still seems new, because I use a transformer. I “believe” that learned to overclock without distrubing my home using a transformer.

This strip is too small to use with several devices that have “square things” on the ends of their cords. Since bought this strip, I had to buy a second strip to power all of my devices with the “thing” on the ends of their cords. I used power strips and not surge protectors for a project because I want a switch for turning off devices that lack power switches, without the electronics used for making a surger protector. I do not need the additional things in a surge protector to use a power strip to have a power switch for devices that lack power switches.

Looks to be a simple “dumb” power strip (without surge protection) that can be used in situations where LACK of surge protection is essential – normally in combination with other surge/power protection devices.

The cable is a bit on the bulky side and hard to coil. I ended up “securing it” with some patience folding part of the cable back to almost the way it was when it came in the box and some cable ties. Will not win any awards for looking pretty but it does the job.

If I needed a “smart” power strip with surge protection, would go with the triplite seven outlet (six individual switch) “eco” power/surge strip for the individual switches. But as there are times when a surge strip is not recommended, falling back to the PS6.

Wish they had longer cords. But work well.

This is just like the inexpensive power strips they sell at the supermarket or drugstore. It’s a bit clunky, but it works just fine. (I grew up in a world of unpolarized electrical outlets and those X shaped three way adapters, so I still remember my feeling of wonder and delight when I saw my first power strip with its simple design and, now old fashioned, metal casing. I no longer marvel when I see a power strip – it’s been over 40 years – but I still appreciate a good, simple piece of industrial design.)

If you use a UPS, it is not a good idea to hook a surge protector into it. Instead you want a power strip which is really hard to find these days that are ETL/UL listed and from a good company. In addition, most items on Amazon listed as “power strips” have surge protection built into them if you read through the descriptions. I ran across this one and it works perfectly for my needs. I even hooked some tplink smart plugs into it to control some of the things I plugged into it.

Title summarizes my feelings. The electronics of power strips are pretty much all the same these days. The technology is stable and proven. So it makes sense to pay attention to price. I looked at quite a few power strips here at Amazon and came away feeling this one offered the best value for the money. At the price this item is selling for today, which can be a few dollars less than the competition, you can’t beat this particular tripp-lite power strip; provided you are okay with a 4ft cord to the wall.

The unit has been modernized recently, so it doesn’t look exactly like the picture. But nevertheless, this is a genuine Tripp-Lite product. The 6 outlets are close together. So, if you need to use all six or have some larger plugs, then look for power strip extender cables sold right here on Amazon.

If you need extra outlets but don’t need surge protection, and most applications don’t, then you can’t go wrong with this power strip, at this price.
