The laptop is fast and rugged and portable. It’s battery life is very good and it runs well for me. I am not a gaming person but I saw my daughter running games on it without any issues.

I’ve previously left a positive review for this product; however, I’ve since encountered a significant issue that I feel compelled to address. Specifically, when I fully charge my laptop, turn it off, and leave it idle for a day, I’ve observed that the battery inexplicably drains. This occurrence is puzzling as the battery should not deplete when the device is powered off. Beyond this particular concern, all other aspects of this laptop perform satisfactorily.
This laptop offers excellent battery life (excluding the aforementioned issue), robust construction, and impressive speed. I particularly appreciate the Wi-Fi 6 feature, which allows me to achieve 1100 Mbps from my ax router—almost on par with my Xfinity internet’s 1200 Mbps.
After conducting thorough research and considering my needs as a professional frequently working in the field, I decided to purchase this laptop. It serves as a perfect semi-rugged device, exactly meeting my requirements. Despite the issue I’m currently facing, I maintain my recommendation for this laptop. I am confident that you won’t regret investing in it.

I had to send the first one back…the mouse pad had a dead zone. But the second one I got instead working well so far.

The problem is Microsoft Windows.
I will never be able to access my computer again without a factory reset, which will require a second machine, and hours of my time. This was never a problem on my Mac software.
As a teacher, I’m a highly organized person. I write down all my passwords in a password bank and update it whenever I change a password. Unfortunately, I do make mistakes sometimes. This time, I either copied down my laptop password incorrectly, or I had the wrong language/keyboard selected when I created my new laptop’s password. Whatever error I made, there is no password recovery. Ever.
I thought switching from Apple to Microsoft products would be cheaper and more user friendly. Yes they are cheaper, but you get what you pay for. In this case, I paid for a product that can be rendered useless with one small human error. Microsoft support said that it’s ‘my responsibility to write down my passwords, and that my inability to access my computer was the point of passwords’. Thanks for the obvious Microsoft- I’m writing this review on my Mac, which had recovery options.
Don’t buy Microsoft products if you’re used to Apple, you’ll pay the price difference in other ways.

Only thing I do not like about this laptop is it is not touchscreen.

As an AV/IT tech this laptop is the business – Comes with an an board NIC – For Video HDMI out as well as USB C and unbelievably VGA . You can charge the laptop via USB C as well. The other amazing connector is a RS-232 Port !! . No more unreliable dongles. USB x 2 connectors support USB 3 . Build quality over all feels great, nice and chunky but not heavy – Good battery life. I don’t know of anything else on the market other than the very expensive Panasonic laptops that offer what this does. Reviews online compare this unit to the Panasonic- I disagree with this . Panasonic was designed to a detailed brief and meant for extreme rugged conditions . This really isn’t in that class , sure the acer can absorb knocks but clearly wasn’t designed to be run over or dragged behind a tank. Definitely would suit a communications technician.
