This camera was very easy to set up and it provides a good quality video feed. The mounting mechanism is nice, though it can cover up your screen if you have thin bezels. In that case, stick a LEGO brick under it or something to raise it up.

Arrived quickly, installed easy. Great product for price, just wish it had a cover for the camera while not in use.

I have purchased this camera awhile back. It still works great after all this time. The picture quality is very clear. I was told on the few occassions that I used the microphone in it that it wasn’t too bad. I’ve gone through many cameras and this one is my favorite, second to none. Highly recommend!

I bought this for work, primarily teams meetings on a windows 11 computer. This is one of those devices that just works. I have used it on windows 10 as well, with no issues. What’s cool about it is the built in mic is very good, so I don’t have to have a separate microphone for people to hear me. Sometime I do a screen recording, and the software I use shows the mic levels; It appears to do some adjusting because the levels are always good even if I don’t talk loudly (honestly not sure if it’s the camera or teams but it works great). The video quality is great, no issues at all, and seems to be easy on the network as well. The stand is easy to adjust no matter if you are setting it on your desk or on a monitor like mine is in the pictures. The movement of stand and camera is stiff but smooth, very high quality feeling. I like that it lights up blue when the camera is active, and it’s large enough to be easily noticeable. We have quite a few of these at work now, and so far no issues with any of them. It seems that Logitech is getting back to the quality that they used to be, and I like that. They have been a go-to brand for many years, and have been known for great quality for a reasonable price. I recommend this camera.

TL;DR – C920 has best image quality, but C270 is a better value proposition. All three cameras stream video at 720p unless you are using Zoom, in which case the C920 is capable of 1080p. C270 captures less background due to smaller sensor, not as good if you are trying to record an activity or more than one person but better if you are trying to only capture your head and shoulders for work meetings.

I ordered the LifeCam Studio($64), Logitech C270($22.99), and Logitech C920x($59.99 with $10 ‘limited time’ discount) cameras to compare. All three cameras worked immediately upon being plugged in on a Windows 10 Enterprise laptop from Dell. I will be posting this review on all three cameras.

All three of these cameras stream at 720p using WebEx, and indeed the fine print on the LCS and C920 state ‘720p video calls’, so they are not capable of streaming at 1080p despite the 1920×1080 sensor (C920 can do 1080p with Skype only). My limited testing was using the drivers Windows assigned upon plugging in the devices in a relatively high-light environment. I will update with observations in low-light scenarios.

C270: The cheapest of the cameras with a 1280×720 sensor, this camera had the worst color accuracy but surprisingly decent picture quality in terms of sharpness considering price. As seen on the photos, there is a blue tint to the image but that may not be the case in low-light environments with warm light. Since it has a native 720 sensor, it looks a little more zoomed-in than the other two, but that means less background which I actually prefer. ** I’m cheap when it comes to equipment I’m buying myself for work and the other cameras didn’t offer sufficiently better performance, so I’m keeping this camera. **

C920x: Best color accuracy, best picture. You can tell it has a 1080 sensor as there is a lot more background than the C270, I don’t want more background so this is a tick against in my view.

Life Cam Studio: Color accuracy is off, in high-light environment it gives a reddish tint and makes my face look like I’m flushing.. but you can tell I’m not from the other pictures. Again, 1080 sensor includes more of the background which I didn’t want for WebEx meetings. I was also disappointed with the auto-focus, picture is a little blurry even after auto-focus does its thing (which is sporadic, I was blurry for a while before it did anything)
