I found several online reviews on these machines (about 3 Models) and they were rated very highly, especially THIS ONE. I love that it comes with a 512 GB SSD (Not hard disk anymore) which makes it very fast especially at boot up.

This IS NOT a “gaming machine.” (not even a GPU), other than that it is a fantastic machine for the rest of us, for everyday tasks at home. I upgraded my sister’s 12 year old PC with this beauty and I am sure it will be good enough for the next 10 years. Of course you can play games like “solitaire” card games and the like, that do not demand the extra performance of the big games. It does not come with a lot of documentation in the box, but you can find everything on every model on the Acer website when you register your unit. Manuals, specs and so on. Comes with a nice looking WIRED keyboard and mouse. Unfortunately I like “wireless” so I did not use them.

After shopping around I felt this was the best price for this spec out machine. For a Intel processor i5 and a 512 mvme ssd I felt it was reasonably priced. Although I did purchase 16 GB of RAM for this machine and reinstalled Windows operating system to eliminate all the excess shipped applications on this machine. It makes for a great efficient home office computer.

First thing first, this is not a gaming desktop, rather a perfect really compact basic everyday task desktop. Great for students, office , light gaming, light editing, homework, web surfing word , excel etc. It comes with small form factor 300 watts propriety motherboard connector LITEON 80 plus Bronze power supply, so replacing it with standard PSU is almost difficult/impossible.
The processor is 6 core 12 thread mid range Core i5. Now the cooling fan is pretty weak when it comes to its capability to cool a 6 core cpu. Under load the cooler makes vibrating and buzzing sounds( rpm goes to 2800 which is really high for this low end cooler). Also replacing this cooling fan with a new one is pretty difficult, have to remove the whole motherboard , also the mounting plate is glued to the back of motherboard and removing it could easily break the board , so its better to leave it. Just keep using it for 2 to 3 days and after window updates and other updates , it has gone quiet and rpms are consistently around 850.
It comes with 8 Gb 3200 mhz Kingston ram ( using micron chips) , though the specs says an otherwise 2666 mhz ram ( since 10400 cpu only supports upto 2666 Mhz speed ). The ram can be easily upgraded to 32 gb.
Comes with 512 Gb Samsung Nvme . Though not upto standards of 980/970/980 pro but still very fast Nvme. Read and write speeds are around 1400/1200 MB/s, plenty for lots of tasks.
The Dvd -writer is Slim Hitachi /LG data storage brand, which are very reliable Dvd writers. though i personally don’t like the vertical mounting of Dvd roms.
The wifi card is Intel Ax200 2.4/5 Ghz 160 mhz is also responsive .
Usb C connection at front panel is great, have 4 Usb 3 and 2 Usb 2 ports.
It comes with 2 Hdmi, 1 Vga ports, so supports multi monitors. Also Intel Uhd 630 is good for browsing videos etc.
Like i stated earlier that it came with 300 watts bronze 80 Liteon Psu, I personally feel its better than
Dell Inspiron ( 240 watts ) and Hp (180 watts) psu in the same price range. 300 watts power supply ( Liteon bronze 80 plus) is enough for 1030 GT, 1050, 1050 TI and even 1650 ( make sure the said GPUs are bus powered and doesn’t require any 6 pin power connections). All these cards need 75 watts of power only and only if you don’t overclock cpu, ram or graphics card, should be ok. I am using it with Nvidia Asus Phoenix 1030 gt and its working perfect. Definitely , its not for hardcore gamers or mid range gamers, but light gaming. Gamers should look for Acer Nitro/Predator, Hp omen/Envy, Dell XPS, Alienware or G series gaming desktops. For critical work environment plz see Hp Z, Dell Precision/Latitude and Acer Veriton systems. This desktop is not for gamers or critical work environments.
For build quality, i give it 3 out of 5 as the side panels are not very sturdy and it does feel little on the cheap side , but for price you cant beat this system. Its very compact, light weight and can be carried easily. Just drive my Eizo cs2731 monitor so well.
