A little slow but no big deal. Without question, you need to break it in with good ventilation as suggested, the fumes were appalling, but after running 6 cycles they were gone. Cord storage built in. A great deal at the price

I had a 4 slice toaster before this, and when it went out I decided to just go with a 2 slice one. It’s cheaper than most in stores, so I decided to give it a go after reading reviews. It works well (given all toasters take a little of getting used to how they work) and matches stainless steel appliances even though it’s really just plastic. After having it for awhile, I’m still happy with the purchase.

I would have given this toaster another star had it not been for the “bagel” button. It toasts the bagel fine but it’s not warmed enough to melt the butter. It worked beautifully for everything just using regular buttons though. I’d buy it again

Thick bagels, country size breads, no problem. Nice, even heating and toasting. Everything. fits in these extra wide, extra long toaster slots. Set the controls to toast the cut side of your 🥯 bagels. It won’t burn the back side. You could even toast the loaf heels. You won’t be dissapointed.

We used to have a toaster oven that took up a lot of space on our kitchen counter. After we purchased a good air fryer we noticed we rarely used the toaster oven anymore, and we decided to get rid of it. Instead we wanted to find a simple, basic toaster to toast bread when needed. We wanted something small to free up counter space or even be able to leave it in a cabinet and pull it out when necessary.
This toaster fit the bill perfectly! It’s simple, straightforward, compact, and toasts bread evenly. We’re not toasting anything more than sliced sandwich bread in our house, so I can’t speak to bagels or thicker breads. For our needs, it is fantastic and small enough that we just push it against the wall when we’re not using it and pull it forward when we are.
The crumb tray is easy access, and I like the dial for adjusting the level of toastiness (is that a word?). If you just want a basic toaster for toasted bread a couple of times a week, I couldn’t recommend it more.

When I first used it, I had to slam the lever down to get it to stay down. After a few uses, it is working better, now. I don’t know what the lighter settings are for, as I am having to use setting 5 (out of 6) to get a decent toast/color on my bagels. (I bought this toaster specifically for bagels as I have a 70-year-old toaster for toasting regular bread. It works great, but the slots are too narrow for bagels.) The nicest thing about this toaster is that it toasts the bagels so evenly. No light areas, no burned areas. It toasts uniformly across the surface of the bagel. You wouldn’t think that would be too hard to accomplish, but this is the first modern toaster I have had in many years that does such a good job in this respect.
HOWEVER, LATER… I finally got around to trying this toaster with, well, toast. That didn’t go so well. The best description I can give is that the toaster seems to be stuck in the ‘BAGEL’ mode. The toast is very well toasted on the side that faces the center heating elements while the side of the toast facing the outer heating elements is hardly toasted at all. I am going to return this toaster, and may order another one, hoping that this one I have may just be defective…

I originally bought this toaster because my four slice toaster died. I just wanted a cheap 2 slots toaster for a replacement and this has fit the bill. I enjoy the six different toast settings. I appreciate that I can toast a bagel or defrost a frozen waffle. I would definitely buy this toaster again if anything were to break on it. It has suited my family well. It is easy to clean. The black part of the toaster is easy to wipe off as well as the stainless front. The crumb tray is easy to take in and out and wipe down. There has been some inconsistency with toasting, one side will be more toasted than the other but I can look past that for the price.
Embracing Geezerhood –
Mechanism would no longer stay down after 16 months of normal use. Until then, toasted well and functioned as expected.
