Product is a toner cartridge for a Brother Laser Printer. I dreaded having to change it and could not have been more surprised when it was so easy to change. Also, it was 100% un-messy!

I thought I had cancelled these cartridges. I really DO NOT appreciate the fact that some of these are now made in China – AND they DO NOT fit my copier. However, there are instructions on Utube on how to disassemble the cartridge, remove screws and other tiny items, make an adjustment, put back together and hope it works. Well, mine didn’t and I have 3 more of these darned cartridges that I cannot return and get a credit!!!! SO VERY DISAPPOINTED. I really liked this printer and never had a single problem with it. I have since purchased another printer – and it’s not made by Brother. Never. I am sure all the cartridges are messed up and I don’t want to take another chance and lose money again on cartridges. So. I am returning these darned things!!

Works great! Came with instructions. I like the prepaid label to recycle and ship the used cartridge back. One less thing going into our landfills.

I am satisfied with the quality, though not so much the longevity – I only got about 1/2 of the expected pages.
CHECK PRINTER SETTINGS: Another reviewer mentioned changing printer settings, and I followed his very helpful advice. The model printer that I have has an option of STOP PRINTING when toner is low, or CONTINUE. The menu defaulted to ‘STOP’… which is NOT a useful setting and wastes remaining toner in your cartridge. Change it to continue and you will get more pages out of your toner cartridge. I am also experimenting with a ‘Toner Save’ option in my printer settings to see how that affects my printing. (Thank you very much to the original reviewer who suggested changing printer settings.)
UPDATE: I decided to see how many more pages I got from the last toner cartridge after changing printer settings – and got about 200 more pages before I saw the quality start to decline. That is quite a few more pages out of what would have been a discarded cartridge. So again – check those settings.

I bought an off-brand TN730 toner after my initial one that came with printer was used up. Big mistake; yes it worked and it fit perfectly. However, the print was considerably LIGHTER constantly, even with testing different properties on the printer so printouts were disappointing. Finally had enough of that so I
ordered this one and installed. Instantly the black print was incredible! so lesson learned. Sometimes stick with what you KNOW WORKS well–it’s only $5 more than the knockoff I used; not a big deal when you want quality.
