These, at least the one I got, are brand new. They do not come with a base so buyer beware. I had a monitor arm waiting. Standard VESA 200 x 200 mounting platform on the back of the monitor. Anti glare surface, flawless function, wish I needed more of them; I consider them an amazing value.

I purchased two of these monitors to use in a dual display setup. Upon receiving both items, I noticed no external signs that the monitors had been previously been used other than the lack of stands. The company that refurbished these did a great job.
In contrast, I am not particularly pleased with Dell’s quality control in these products. For premium/professional monitors, I would have expected a higher standard of consistency between monitors. While the resolution of each monitor is great, one monitor is about 30% brighter than the other. I have tried every possible solution, thinking the difference may be attributable to my cables, power supply, and even my computer ports. However, the brightness issues are inherent to the monitors. It is unfortunate, as I am otherwise incredibly pleased with these monitors and purchasing them renewed, but I am not pleased with Dell’s quality control.
I would suggest buying one of these monitors, but only one. I am tempted to keep the brighter monitor and gamble on purchasing another that may have consistent brightness, but I am unlikely to do so given that this issue exists in the first instance. If Dell switched manufacturers on a professional monitor, it should have given an alternative model number. I shouldn’t have to hope I will get two of the same monitors.

I got two of these and basically, they are brand new (opened original box with the tapes and films on monitors intact as they come from factory) just without the stand! Super happy as I will be mounting these on arms anyway.

I ordered this to be my second monitor – the first one is a U2422H that I had ordered new directly from Dell. To my surprise, this renewed monitor looked just like the new one, complete with the plastic sheet over the screen and foam wrap over the entire monitor. Yes, even the packing looked like the new one – the only difference is that the stand was not included. I purchased the stand elsewhere and, looking at the both of them side by side, you wouldn’t know the difference.
