I need these filters for my refrigerator. They are pricey, but I like how it filters the water and makes my water taste so much better. I refuse to buy water bottles because it is a waste of money, plastic fills our landfills and hurts our environment. The filter is super easy to insert in the fridge and has clear directions.

This filter has a RFID chip that’s compatible with the GE refrigerator, allowing the refrigerator to track replacement timing. The filter says it’s good for 300 gallons/6 months. But after 6 months, regardless of usage, the replace filter warning will come on. It is not possible to reset it with out hacking your fridge.
As a person living alone, I use maximum 100 gallons of filtered water in a 6 month period. It’s frustrating to have a false warning come on well before it’s necessary, but that’s really an issue with the refrigerator design and not the filter itself.

Got to have it. Filters the water in a big way. Love the taste. Not cost effective though. A bit more expensive than what I think they should be. Easy to install if you have the touch. If it’s your first time, it can be an emotional event. Thinking you have to turn or twist or push too much or pull to the right too much…it’s crazy. The old fridges used to be way more easy. But once you know how, it’s easy. You Tube it and you’ll be a Master.

This is a good quality product and easy to install. The price is a little higher than we expected but arrived the next day. Make sure you run enough water through it after installation to flush it properly.
