This is a fantastic product! Here’s what I love:
    * Super lightweight. 2.3 pounds. I use a work laptop that is slightly lighter, but the LG is much faster. The LG Gram is not the lightest or thinnest notebook you will use, but it’s veeerrryyy close. Chassis is not metal, it’s a magnesium alloy – looks like plastic but very tough and flexible.
    * Fast and multi-functional. My model had a 10-Gen Intel Core i7 with 16GB of RAM and NVME SSDs. Love the tablet function with touch screen and included pen. Very responsive, and LG includes the Nebo app to make pen usage very easy.
    * Storage space. This version came with 1 TB of storage.
    * Build Quality. The hinge is appropriately flexible, but not floppy or too rigid. When you fold it over into tablet mode, everything is flush and tight.
    * Battery Life! After a full charge, this will work for more than 10 hours on “normal” settings, e.g. everyday screen brightness, keeping the battery tuned for performance vs. battery life. If you want, it can give you 20 hours of battery life.

    Drawbacks:
    * Build Quality. While the magnesium alloy chassis gives you flexibility and very light weight, I was concerned about the durability of the notebook over time. It’s tough and impact resistant, but the case does flex. I think I’d be concerned long-term about what happens to the LCD, and even the memory or storage as the case goes through multiple patterns of flex and bend.
    * Storage. While you get 1TB of storage, you get that with 2 SSDs. The SSDs are NVME, but not the ultimate fastest drives.
    * Screen brightness. The screen tops out at 306 nits – it’s good but not great.

I loved this LG, but I ultimately went with another brand. But at 2.3 pounds, with a high end Intel Core i7 CPU, 16 GB of memory, and 1 TB of storage, this is going to please a lot of people. It’s great for business, and for pleasure – it will travel easily with you wherever you go, and be very dependable. This will give you 5-7 years of great usage if you take care of it.

I purchased this for its light weight, long battery life, ability to use as a laptop or in tablet form, 16 GB RAM and 1TB of M.2 2280 SSD (Solid State Drive). Additional storage available through a microSD card slot. It comes with a stylus pen, which I find useful to sign documents to file/email, without the need to print out, sign and scan.
The only drawback of this laptop is the weak speakers (1.5W x 2). Not a problem if you are in a quiet space and the speakers can reflect on a desk or other table; but, they are muffled if you have it on your lap. The sound with earphones/earbuds is great; so, if you use earphones/earbuds on a regular basis, no problem.
It has 2 USB 3.1 ports, a type C Thunderbolt 3 port (a RJ45 Ethernet converter included), a 3.5 headphone jack, and a separate port to plug in the charger. (Can also charge using the type C Thunderbolt 3 port.
The fingerprint sensor is built in to the power button; and, works extremely.

  3. The Customer

This review is for the LG Gram Convertible 14 inch, 14T90-R. Iuse a lot of laptops. This is my currenr favorite. Very light, reasonably tough, excellent 2K,14 inch screen, long battery life and many I/O options (Thunderbolt combined I/O charging and display port), HDMI and USM 3.0) make it a great grab-and go computer. And when I ger home, I just plug the Thunderbolt cable from my Dell 27 inch 4K monitor (4K monitors are supported at full resolution) into the laptop and it makes a great desktop as well.

Speed? Most users don’t realize that the quick response they want from a laptop is most often provided by two things OTHERthan the processor: 1. Enough main memory (4 GB is like being stuck in a tar pit – but this machine come with 16 GB) and, 2. Hard disk access latentcy. With dual 512 GB SSDs, this is just NOT a problem. The 10th Gen I7 CPU is fine, too. I’m not a gamer, what can I say? But the lack of a dedicated graphics coprocessor board saves a great deal of powers and has no noticeable impact on any of the applications I run.

I also have a year old Dell XPS13 (8th gen processor). The XPS13 FEELS tougher, and probably is. The 4K screen is smaller though and seems to fatigue my eyes much more and burns through the battery in no time at all unless the brighness is turned WAY down. (Yes, I know it has a “blue ligh filter” setting – pretty much a band-aide solution IMHO)

I liked this one enough that I bought a 15 inch LG gram for son #1 and gave the XPS13 to son #2.

My first experience with an LG laptop. And so far, so good.

I went through so many reviews comparing this laptop to the HP and Lenovo models and I’m soo glad I chose the LG!
It is very lightweight, super fast, ultra thin and chic looking, keyboard is perfect, touchscreen has been flawless and when you switch to tablet mode you can deactivate the keyboard (which is different from a previous review I read). The visual is crystal clear, the sound is just ok but I connect it to Bluetooth speakers if I really want to play anything. I have multiple tabs open all the time and it’s still fast. The other thing I read on other’s reviews was about the battery life, fan, and noise. I’ve tested the battery and so far it’s been going for a few days with no recharge and I haven’t had it heat up on me nor has the fan come on. In my opinion for my personal use, this laptop has been flawless.
